"I haven’t written anything about our favorite restaurant, the “Santa Fe Tex Mex” in Dresden for 10 months. It'll be time again. Santa Fe Tex Mex Dresden In the long time, we were sometimes fixed to dinner when we were in the city. But today, Sunday, the domestic refrigerator was empty, and no one had appetite for cut meat with salad and lots of garlic sauce in a dough bag. Since my wife has been pushing back to Tex Mex for some time, I had ordered a table for the evening. When it went to Dresden in the evening and I indicated where it was going, there were bright faces. Suddenly for me as a driver, I hadn't considered the pre-Christmas period, and the Striezelmarkt is just a few meters from the Tex Mex. This made it very difficult to dispose of the mobile underset penalty-free. When we were able to do this, we went to the restaurant on foot. Luckily we had reserved a table, because apparently many others came to the idea, and the restaurant was full. As always, we were kindly received with a fleeting spell and brought to our table. You know what you mean. I don't need to write anything about the restaurant myself here today, nothing has changed. Guest room Usually we know the menu quite well, but today she had a new layout, and partly also new dishes. All right. So we had to study the map again. What was positive, the prices had not changed. Great. Extract from the menu Our drinks were fast fixed. Since my girls love the cocktails here, I forgot my beloved Duckstein, which is very rare from the barrel in Dresden. For example, we ordered drinks: · 1x 0,33ér Heineken Pilsner alcohol-free for 4,10 € · 3x Cocktail Casanova – with vodka, grenadine, lime, mint, cane sugar and maracujanectar for 8,50 € · 3x cocktail flaying Mexican – with white rum, vodka, vanilla syrup, cream and pineapple for each 8,50 € In the meantime, however, the dishes had to be found. After not even five minutes, our drinks were at the table. The cocktails as always strong and really good. I'm sure my girls could handle more. I was pleased with the alcohol-free heineken, which doesn't taste so bad at all. However, only here on the edge, the Radeberger is the current nonplusultra for me. Trouts and 0.0% Heinekens Coctail Casanova and Flaying Mexican Our dishes were now also solid, and so it should be: as appetizers: · 1x Mixed Dips Tapas Nacho with beef, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, cheese chilitos, chicken wing, asparat ribs with cucumber We chose the Mixed Dips Tapas today, because there is something here. And despite the fact that we were four, the record was enough. Mixed Dips Tapas Nacho with beef meat, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, cheese chilitos, chicken wing, asparat ribs with potato wedges con Queso with dips for 2 persons On the plate were 2 small nachos filled with spicy but unfortunately somewhat dry beef meat, several crispy and juicy onion rings, spicy mozzarella sticks and sharp cheese chilitos. The onion rings, sticks and chilitos crispy on the outside, beautifully soft and fresh on the inside. The relatively sharply seasoned Chicken Wings were the hammer. The skin crispy fried, the meat in juicy and tender. The Spare Ribs can't be called that, rather a very small rib. From the taste they get to their big siblings well, but the two little things aren't much. Our children fell on the Potato Wedges con Queso. These were crusty fried potato corners with plenty of spicy cheese overwhelmed in a rice wafer. There were two dips, one mango chili dip and a mild yogurt cream. All right. In fact, the great hunger had already been cured, but half an hour later it became close to the table, our main foods came. My wife and daughter wanted to share the Plato Grande de Tortilla for 2 people. Actually, that's always the food from my wife and me, today I had to give up. The Plato Grande is covered with various Burritos, Enchiladas, Wraps, Tacos and Quesadilas. These are filled with minced meat, chicken breast strips, chili con carne or fresh salad. Plato Grande de Tortilla for 2 people – our personal classic with something of everything: Burritos, Enchiladas, Wraps, Tacos and Quesadilas filled with different meats and vegetables, with Dips and Mexican rice The minced meat is also a bit dry here, but hearty seasoned. For this, the chicken breast strips were pleasantly soft and well roasted, with the wort one kept in the background. For this, the Chili con Carne made his name all honor and struck with the usual sharpness. We love this record because there's something here about everything. Some of the tortillas are baked with spicy cheddar, others have the in-house, smokey enchilada sauce or guacamole as topping. As a dip there is a sharp chilisauce and the mild yoghurt sauce. And as an absolute highlight (at least for me) there are still fresh, fieryly sharp Jalapeños and Peperoni. The spicy Mexican rice is almost mild again. The record was so much that the two girls had to surrender, and the rest was still a full-fledged lunch of our big one the next day. Plato Grande de Tortilla for 2 persons – our personal classic with something of everything: Burritos, Enchiladas, Wraps, Tacos and Quesadilas filled with different meats and vegetables, with Dips and Mexican rice Our little one had chosen the Burritos with Pulled Pork. A large, soft wheat tortilla was filled with plenty of very spicy smokey, homemade pulled pork. In addition, fresh salad, Cole Slav and grater cheese were added. A delicious, hearty mixture. But the frightening of our little one came when she realized that the Cole Slaw was nothing but a herb salad. To Burrito there were also here the spicy Mexican rice as well as guacamole and the chilisauce as a dip. Also here the Jalapeños did not miss. Burritos Pulled Pork – a soft wheat borilla filled with homemade Pulled Pork, Salads, Cole Slav and Ruby Cheese Burritos Pulled Pork – a soft wheat borilla filled with homemade Pulled Pork, Salads, Cole Slav and Ruby Cheese I had decided to do the Fajitas con Pollo today. First of all, I got a large empty plate with several dips on it. Then followed a bowl with lid, which contained the many-warm tortillas before my crumbling, steaming pan came in. the plate with the dips to the Fajitas con Pollo ofenwarme Tortillas In the cast iron pan, the richly marinated strips were dressed by the chicken breast together with the Mexican vegetables. The Mexican vegetables consisted of fresh peppers, corn, zucchini, peperoni and onion. Fajitas con Pollo A crumbling pan with mexican vegetables, with large tortilla, Cole Slaw, grated cheese and various dips with grilled and marinated strips of chicken breast This mix of pan should then be filled into the still hot tortillas. A small bowl of Cole Slav or herb salad and grated cheese could still be used as a filling. The Cole Slav is made freshly. He was crunchy in the bite, the dressing pleasantly hearty. Three different dips from fresh guacamole, mild yoghurt and sharp chilli were also available. And of course the fresh Jalapeños and Peperoni, which then stacked on my plate. Total image of the Fajitas con Pollo Endresultat Even if the girls were actually fed after these portions, a dessert had to be. So they ordered after a while: · 2x Churros baked fired dough bars with sweet dips for 7.00 € • 2x Churros After ten minutes the hot Churros were at the table. Three of these fried dough bars lay on the plate, some sugar covered the surface. We actually know Churros with powder sugar. We have also had better the dim of the Churros, for example on the nearby Striezelmarkt. As a supplement there was a stick creamy caramel mass, a sweet pudding and coarse apple. Dark, liquid chocolate decorated the plate. Overall, not bad, but as I said, the girls had already had better. Churros baked sticks with sweet dips After a nice evening, away from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas market, it was again a beautiful family evening for us. Recommended for repetition. Our conclusion: we left four €157.70 in the “Santa Fe Tex Mex” in Dresden. And we stay here, it's and stays our number one. We like to come here, and I hope this will stay like this for a while."

"Sometimes you have to do something good to the world. So this evening again. Our family included would-be son-in-law was donating blood or blood plasma in Dresden. Since we were all complete, our youth suggested that we reimburse the money or at least some of it in the Dresden Neustadt. When the youth is on their own, they always go to the “Keke” and eat a “Kartoffeldöner”. You may call us old, but that was strange to my wife and me. So we had to try this, and that's how I write a review about a dönerimbis today. Bistro Keke So after the donation date, it went for us five with the mobile base to the busy Neustadtviertel. They were our problems again. Finding a parking lot is almost a miracle. After we finally solved this problem adequately at the edge of the road, almost one razing cyclist had taken off the walkway and fed the one-armed bandits of the city of Dresden, it went towards the old main fire station of the Dresden fire department on the Luisenstraße. The “Keke”, which according to the youth offers the only “Kartoffeldöner”, a so-called Kumpir here, is located obliquely opposite. Advertisement for the Kumpir In the “Keke”, we have the opportunity to take a seat in the outdoor area, typically a new city fan, on a table on the walkway. However, man can also take place in the cozy, turquoise interior outside the large counter. Typical outdoor area of a bistros in the new town The menu flyers are available on the tables. From an extensive range of Döner, Lahmacun, Dürum, Pide to the said Kumpir in all possible variations, you get what the Dönerherz likes. We decided to: · 5x Kumpir Turkey with butter, cheese, dönerfleisch, tomatoes, cucumbers and cucumbers for each 7.00 € As drinks we took: · 1x 0.5ér bottle Radeberger Pilsner for 2,50 € · 2x 0.5ér bottle Coca Cola for each 2,50 € · 1x 0.33ér bottle Fritz Cola for 2,50 € The order must be delivered even in the bistro at the typical Döner. The finished dishes are then delivered to the table. No 10 minutes later it was so far, our “Kartoffeldöner” stood before us. What was different to the normal döner? There was no fladen bread here, but also a large oven potato called Kumpir in Turkish language. Wikipedia writes: Kumpir is a dish prepared from large, milky-boiling potatoes. These are baked in special three-storey ovens, the two lower floors being used for cooking and the upper ones being used for keeping warm. Once the potatoes are at all, they are cut up in the middle without cutting them completely. With a fork, the potato interior is loosened, mixed with butter and grated cheese and, if desired, occupied. Meanwhile, Kumpir is an integral part of the Turkish fast food kitchen. The word Kumpir has passed into the Turkish language and means kiln or foil potatoes there. Originally, it originates from the Palatinate/Almanian Grumbier or Krummbeere “Grundbirne”. In this form it was also used by German-style settlers in south-eastern Europe, the Danube Swabians, where it entered the Serbian language as krumpir or crompir and as krumpli into the Hungarian language, and was spread from Balkan Turks who had contact with these German-speaking people to Anatolia. Unlike Patates potato, it refers to the prepared kiln potatoes. This word is increasingly reimported in Germany as Kumpir-ci. This is a Turkish snack offering potato specialities. Kumpir Turkey with butter, cheese, dönerfleisch, tomatoes, cucumbers and spice cucumbers Our “Kumpir Turkey” here in Dresden was now a large baking potato. This was pleasantly mild, soft, the interior of the potato was cleared and mixed with butter, cheese and small spice cucumber pieces. Potato cucumber with cheese and spice cucumber, over it Dönerfleisch After that all came back into the oiled baking potato before the normal Döner ingredients were added. Here in the Dresdner „Keke“ fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, cut into coarse pieces and fresh onion rings were added to the season. On top then a thick portion of diner meat with the desired corresponding sauces such as herbs, garlic and chili, or as you say at the dönermann once with everything. The dönerfleisch here consists of minced meat, certainly a mixture of lamb and pork as with most dönerimbissen. The meat juicy, well fried and pleasantly spicy. Man can also get the döner or the Kumpir as a chickendöner. There is also the pumpir instead of diner meat as variations with sausages, spinach or tuna. There are probably no limits to the ingenuity. The Kumpir, our “Kartoffeldöner” tasted very good to us. I always don't have to have it, so I prefer to have the right diners in the fladen bread, the right meat skewer and everything. Kumpir Turkey with butter, cheese, diner meat, tomatoes, cucumbers and spice cucumbers After we were finished with food, we made our plates into the bistro and had to pay our food and drinks now. That's brave. Our conclusion: we left exactly 45 euros in the “Keke” in the Dresden Neustadt. There are many bistros, cafés and restaurants. The keke with its offer of the Kumpir, according to its website the first in Dresden, is something completely different. If it turns out we'll be happy to come back."
