Volkskammer - Menu

We were eating with 9 people there,the food was okay, although there was no special requests, for example an extra serving of vegetables for the Steak our four. Dirty tablecloths and very stiff operation...we were totally disappointed by the atmosphere. Shame...

Today we (Wachechte Ossis) in the Vokskammer ordered our food, unfortunately we were more than disappointed ....there is no more to say than... if we had got such a food in the east, then the cook would have picked up. Honest people at the prices apologise big idea, but you don't make friends.

My boyfriend and I were staying at a hotel close by so we decided to go here for dinner. I had the Russian soup and traditional German boiled potatoes while my boyfriend had a fish dish. We were both really happy with our meals because the food was delicious and filling, all while staying within reasonably cheap prices. For all of our food plus two alcoholic drinks, we paid 35 Euro, which is pretty amazing if you ask me.

We had an unforgettable Sunday afternoon in the Volkskammer. The food is super delicious and the service is just great! In a beautiful ambience you can eat alone, to the second, as a family with children or as a group good and cost-effective. It was delicious! Now in August we could sit outside, which was of course more beautiful. We were an international group of 14 people and all were completely satisfied. We can only recommend the Volkskammer!

I visited this charming restaurant on my second night in Berlin because I wanted traditional German food and the restaurant is less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel I was staying at.The restaurant is done up in a DDR theme which I enjoyed. I only know a few worlds of German but the staff was very friendly, patient, and courteous. I had the jagerschnitzel and pasta which I loved.This is a nice friendly restaurant whether you are alone or with family.

My friend and I were staying at the Ostel around the corner, and decided to check this out for lunch. There is an English menu if you are worried about ordering something weird. Also, the decor is fabulous. Our espresso macchiatos were fantastic and served in authentic DDR dishes. I had the boiled potatoes and while that sounds really weird, they were delicious. My friend had the goulash and recommends that. Also be sure to check out the orange toilets in the bathroom.

We were in the Volkskammer today to refuel a bit of ostalgy and are totally enthusiastic.. Many memories were awake, old stories were exchanged, childhood and youth memories were brought back to life, short, we had incredibly much fun. From food to the whole ambience and especially the super nice staff, it was a perfect evening for us and would like to thank us warmly, real people, more so, with your naturally relaxed way you have prepared us an unforgettable evening. Since we have a large family and a group of friends, we will certainly recommend you more and more

We sometimes go twice a month to eat in the Volkskammer and are always excited about it. The food is original to GDR recipe and tastes very delicious. The service is very nice and friendly, a very dear is Sandra, which we know from the beginning and have closed into the heart. During our penultimate visit, she worked with her colleague, who is also very dear. For some time there have also been soft ice cream in the pre-garden GDR, which is also very delicious. We wish that it will remain so and the whole team will always have a lot and nice clientele. Renate and Detta
