"Absolutely amazing!! Food,top quality (reasonable in price and decent in portions),the Sunday lunch is amazing,beer excellent, good choice ranging from a good draught selection through to bottles. Friendly staff who are up for a bit of banter! Would recommend booking a table though as the pub can be very busy, its not the biggest eating area but its just right!! Pool table and jukebox in separate bar area which is perfect if your going there for food and not hearing pool balls smashing around! Car park on site, capable of 20 cars (if people park properly) disabled access is good from both sides of the pub. Have been here a couple of times, normally in a large group and have not been let down yet!! Well worth a visit. 10 out 10!!"

"A little treat for a birthday. Greeted with professional and friendly waiter. Brought a carafe of water without needing to ask. Choice of 3 starters and desserts and 4 mains. The rump of lamb served med/rare to perfection. The faggot was the nicest I have ever had and my mother in law had cod loin which fell apart. My husband was brought the wrong starter but they told him he was welcome to eat it AND have the one he ordered. He had the duck for his main and it was lovely though I prefer it pink. The wine was just over £3 A glass and the 3 course meal £14.50 each. By far the best food around and you cannot fine dine for that price anywhere..my 4th visit!"

"Most importantly very limited vegan options which meant my partner, who didn’t want spicy food at lunchtime, had to order a side dish and a starter, both deep fried which doesn’t sit well with a healthy life style. Secondly waitress service is no longer provided, so ordered from the app so the one starter which was supposed to be part of a main meal arrived, this had to be eaten and plate taken back before kitchen cooked the other mains! My partner then got her side dish about 15 minutes after eating her ‘starter’. We arrived at 12:30 and didn’t get the main part of the meal until 13:35. Waitresses were lovely but as they are no longer taking orders there is very little interaction with them which there always has been. Certainly won’t be returning which is a shame as we have been going to the Red Kite every 2 weeks for many years until the menu changed."

"Sad to say, gone massively downhill.... and the prices are eye-watering for something so bog-standard. One starter item was unbelievably rancid. I imagine they literally cooked it in the oldest, dirtiest worst-tasting oil EVER. Sent it back, was told he would get us some newer ones, and it was replaced. Realised later, they charged us for it anyway. Rest of food was 'OK '/Friday night cheap can 't be arsed cooking, let 's get a takeaway level .... Also, don 't know what 's going on with the staff, but it was service with a grimace. We were there to celebrate a teenage family birthday and when the 'birthday girl ' of our party was ordering, the bored waiter taking the order was rolling his eyes. I know catering isn 't easy, but at least try to fake it? Every time you asked for something (aside from one waiter), there was a discernible grimace. It was awful. In these difficult times, you 'd think they 'd be falling over themselves to up their game, not the case. You 've lost another few customers here."
