Restaurant which is close to the station accommodated our group of sixteen on three tables. Restaurant definitely caters for groups of tourists visiting the resort. Service was professional. Food was Swiss but rather greasy.

We hadn't booked and arrived as a tour group was leaving. Were quickly seated and served. Friendly staff and good service. We tried the specialities - deer fillet with berry sauce and a seafood pasta. Both excellent. The menu caters for all budgets and children.

We did bypass the restaurant on our search for food as we were looking for a cheese fondue. Not many dinners as we came in (only a few tourists) but this changed over the next half hour (we were early). Excellent service, good food (although expect high prices). Had several meals here this week and found the food to be the best in zermatt.The service was fast and polite with a traditional surrounding. The t bone is expensive but well worth the price, my wife had the entrecôte and this was again excellent.Best to book or arrive early as a lot of escorted tours use the restaurant.The veal sausage is also very good.

Recommended by our tour guide if we wanted to try the special Swiss beef. We passed on the special beef (63 CHF, ouch), but had great meals. Wife had the filet which she said was excellent, and I ordered the seafood pasta in a spicy red sauce. I was a bit concerned about ordering seafood in a landlocked country, but this was excellent in quantity and quality. Lobster tail, many large shrimp, muscles and clams. I had a green salad that was really fresh. A little pricy at 138 CHF, but included several glasses of wine. Overall a great dining experience.

This place was recommended by our hotel staff with the appropriate expectations set (i.e. local bistro food, not fine dining) and is located off a street near the train station so it’s easy to miss. We had the deer filet special from the seasonal menu that included tomato soup and dessert for 42 CHF which was both good quality and a good value based our 7 days in Switzerland. The wine list was also reasonably priced and both our waitress and the proprietor made sure we were pleased with our meal. This restaurant is next to Zermatt rail station. Great location and easy too find. But the food was not as good as the location. A young waitress was not so friendly. We ordered three dishes but did not order drinks. When we asked for water she impatiently talked to us and gave disrespectful look. (Even The water charges about 5 CH so we ended up ordering soda). One thing that disappointed the most is that we were at the restaurant first and had food ordered. But then about 30 Japanese tourists came. The waitresses served their food first. Our food finally showed up 15 minutes later after they served all the Japanese guests. PLEASE avoid this restaurant.

We decided to go for this restaurant as we bypass the day before. That we could try. Not many dinners as we walked in but is still feel good. Firstly our pumpkin soup. Me n my frenz like it instantly after one mouthful. Then I added pepper is a wonder. Is a little salty by the time finished it, but no problem for such good taste. My frenz had the venison in stew / broiled with mushrooms n sauce. For me I had the venison tenderloin n sauce. Like it how it is done for the tenderloin n the sweet pear. Sauce is salty for my taste. But we both finish our plate. This meal was good n satisfying. The service was good too in our opinion. So decided to write about it. We went to Viktoria three times in one week - twice for apres-ski drinks, once for a family dinner. The picture used by Trip Adviser is a little over-exposed and makes the restaurant look lighter than it is. The atmosphere is calm and intimate - candlelit and cosy. By Zermatt standards it is cheap - ie about 177 Swiss Francs for a dinner for four. Ouch, you say. Well, that's Zermatt! This place has a big heart and the cooking was excellent on the night we went, particularly with the fish: clams in prosecco, some sea bass and coquilles St Jacques with four fat scallops beautifully salted and buttery.
