"This is a typical French country restaurant in the simultaneously picturesque and mundane Versoix, with verdant forests and 1960s urban concrete buildings nestled cheek by jowl.Don't expect vegetarian, organic or healthy fare. It's rich and heavy on the meats, particularly wild game, heavy on fats; heart attacks waiting to happen. When I asked what vegetarian options existed, the waiter actually snorted, and could not refrain from making jokes about a three course salad meal. While the ingredients were quite available, it took prolonged negotiations to get vegetarian fare.Perhaps it is particularly unusual to get such a request and within the milieu, possibly socially unacceptable. The sense I got was that the customers were expected to genuflect at the chefs creations, which He deigned to allow mere mortals to savor. However, the pumpkin soup, minus the normal wild boar garnish, was quite good, though very creamy. The mixed vegetable plate was more than edible, though again, very rich, heavy on the butter. Butter is possibly considered one of the basic food groups in this neck of the woods. Not my cup of tea, to mangle a metaphor."

The atmosphere is nice and the food is good—if you're near Versoix The Vieux-Port is a great choice and I recommend the Filets de perche straight from Lac Léman.

This was booked for a business lunch based on the Tripadvisor reviews and was a perfect experience. We were greeted by the patron, given a quiet table and had a fantastic meal served by staff who were efficient and obviously knowledgeable about the food.Plan to take my wife there as it was such a nice experience.Try it. A friend and I were walking the Way of St. James and passed this restaurant where we wanted to have a bite to eat for lunch. We were greeted in a very unfriendly way and looked at disparagingly because we were wearing hiking clothes and a backpack. The gentleman who served probably wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible because he was reluctant to offer us a table. Then when my girlfriend asked if she could even have a drink (I was about to eat) he told her it wasn't a bar it was a restaurant and ran off. An absolute cheek. We left the restaurant as quickly as possible without consuming anything. Service: 1

"I am afraid that our overall our experience was disappointing. Booking was friendly and the ambience is pleasant. We were a family of four adults and wanted to enjoy an evening meal. Three of us are pescatarian so the menu was a little limited. However the tapas description on the menu read well and one of us chose the burger. We asked staff for advice on tapas as a main course and four dishes were recommended. Service was functional. One of our choices was unavailable and a wrong dish was brought, no problem they took it back. What finally arrived was disappointing. The breads for all three tapas dishes were all similar cold, crunchy and seemingly from a packet. The sauces were very rich. All the tapas were served cold too. It was basically an apero. The burger also had very little fresh garnish. To be frank, the high prices made us think the quality would be much better and the fact that we had asked for guidance as a main course gave us confidence in what would be served. Most disappointing was the tuna tapas. There was a thimble of tuna in cream which we shared between three. Please do not advise three people to share four tapas as a main course again. We have to agree with previous reviews that for these high prices the food should be also be higher quality. In particular with more fresh produce. This dining experience was unfortunately not value for money or healthy."
