"We were in Italy for 10 days. Ran across this place on our last day. Had lunch and it was the best meal we had eaten the whole time in Italy. So good we decided to come back for dinner, which was even better than lunch. For my American compatriots, please do not confuse the language barrier or the cultural differences for anything more than what they are. The staff is not rude, they do things differently in Italy than what you are used to. Most of the staff probably speaks better English than you speak Italian. So work it out whichever way possible. Between lunch and dinner we had the bruschetta pomodoro, spaghetti ajo e ojo, meatballs in tomato sauce, ravioli and the mixed grill. Each item better than the last. The house wine was delicious and the two servers we had were very nice and easily overcame the language differences. If you are in the neighborhood you should really give this place a try. True Roman cuisine in a familiar and evocative environment. The only problem you might have is being spoiled for choice, for this reason I recommend the homemade ravioli filled with pecorino cooked with gricia or carbonara and absolutely not to be missed are the breaded slices... What a hidden gem! I loved everything, the food was delicious with lots of vegetarian options. At lunch they have sun in their terrace. And the waiters were very welcoming and attentive. The food atmosphere were perfect. This was our first dining experience in Italy and they set the bar high. As my wife put it, the carbonara was life changing good. The fresh pasta was perfect with the gricia carbonara so tasty. Loved the Artichoke dish. The foccacia bread was outstanding. Service was impeccable. Loved this place so much. Recommended, Excellent value for money, had an appetizer with fried artichokes and meatballs, all accompanied by homemade focaccia, hot and fragrant. We continued with a carbonara and the phenomenal house tart, with water and wine €30 per person. Out of the way location therefore suitable for those looking for something non-touristy, somehow you can find parking in the surrounding area. Optimal!
