My husband and I ate here last night we are drawing close to the end of our 6 week vacation and have never been treated so badly in a resturant anywhere while the food was nice and reasonable prices nothing could make up for the...rudest waiter we have ever come across simply disgusting

One evening in June we made a reservation for a table with some people. On arrival we had to wait for about 1 hour to get a dring and another 1.5 hours to get some food. For me this is simply unacceptable when you have...a reservation in a max 1/3 full restaurant. The food in the end was to a max of average but very pricy. To me the portions are very tiny for the price. I will not go there again as I was very disappointed.

We come here 2-3 times a year. As other reviewers have written: Some waiters can be incredibly rude and arrogant, and there have been times when we thought: We can't go back there. But then we give the restaurant another chance because we love the...food so much and sometimes we get lucky in receiving excellent service. So, brace yourself and don't expect great service, so that you're not disappointed. Then you can fully focus on enjoying the great food. Voir le carte

it was my second time in this restaurant in a span of 6 years. we brought our Filipino friend, and we were impressed by service and eating. a few years later, when we revisited mainz and looked for some food, we stumbled. this resto again. I have the spaghetti frutti di mare and my friend has the spaghetti arrabiatta. She loved eating and I did it too and the personal joked with us. they also recommend a beautiful dry red wine as a meal seal. I'm coming back here. I like server that are very humanly nice and not robots.

the trattoria is a spacious restaurant with beautiful, outer sittings, near the rheinufer. I ordered ravioli filled with lamb and olive, my wife ordered a sweet pizza. the ravioli were filled with a kind of non-descriptive filling, possibly kartoffels and cheese, no signs of lamb or olive. (the waitress checked after and confirmed that I served what I had ordered.) the sweet on my wife's pizza was fresh, but in no way seasoned or seasoned. the pizza base was of the puffy type and did not look like it came from a pizza oven. service was good. Unfortunately, eating was very disappointing.

Not really impressive, especiallly considering the price. I had a beef carpaccio which looked nice, but didn't taste like much. Likewise the swordfish was just kind of blah. Missing seasoning? I really don't know. Accompanied by some mushy brussels sprouts, a dab of sauteed spinach, and a few spuds. Nothing on the plate was inspiring and for the price you'd thinkk at least SOMETHING would stand out. Otherwise, the menu looked promising. They offer water buffalo steaks but no one in our party tried them. They also had some Northen Italian fare. Frankly though, I'm not tempted back and would prefer trying other places first. Went here with a work colleague for dinner. It was a relatively slow night yet we weren't greeted when we walked in and started seating ourselves at a small table. That got their attention, and the waiter told my colleague that we couldn't sit there...and that it would be a 10 minute wait. We waited and were seated at a corner table. We waited about 10 more minutes before getting menus then another 5 for the waiter to come back. When I tried to ask a question in English, the waiter told my colleague (in German) that she needs to translate Now! Even she was taken aback by his rudeness. Food came out with a nice presentation, and vegetables were good but steak was undercooked to my preference....

This is my second visit to this restaurant. The first time a year ago it was very pleasant. The second time a year later, we were treated improperly. The waiter, an older swarthy Mediterranean looking man with white hair, claimed he didn't understand English, which was clearly a lie since the previous year he took our order in English. We had to order our meals in Italian, which was not a serious problem but he responded arrogantly to our attempt at ordering the food in Italian. The food is in this place is good, but the kind of treatment we got at the place was unacceptable. I suspect he made the assumption that because we were Americans we were Trump supporters and treated us in a very sub...

The service here was horrible. Who appeared to be the manager was rude while telling my husband and I were to sit and took forever to bring a menu. Then, once we got our food I asked the manager for a basket of bread to...go with the pasta like the other tables had received. He said okay and then went onto another table and spent the rest of our time at the restaurant chatting with them. We had to ask the waiter and wait while he kept trying to take my dish. Finally he brought out some bread and said that they had been baking it and that was what the wait had been about. He then proceeded to pick up the pieces and show me how they were hot.
