Trangallan - Carte

We had a dinner there with a couple of friends. The tapas served was some what different from the traditional tapas you can find in Spain more modern (slow cooked/sous vide) served in a bigger dishes. The food taste very good. Worth to give a try.

The portions of food are too small and overpriced. The staff was extremely rude. I visited the restaurant twice and both times the food was bad and the service from the staff was rude. The quality of the food is also poor. I will never be returning.

Service was brilliant, greeted by a lovely waiting staff called Maddie with great knowledge of the menu. The decor was awesome! Really quirky and helped create an authentic atmosphere. The food was beautiful! I would recommend the traditional tortilla, probably the best I've tasted yet. We will defenatly be back : Voir le carte

I celebrated my birthday at Tranga last night and it was fantastic! We had a private room downstairs with a beautifully set table for our party of 14. The food was delicious and Madi was extremely helpful in organizing everything. Everyone raved about the food and the wonderful setting. Thank you for a memorable evening!

We agree with most of the other reviewers the food is excellent, service is great, but the food is overpriced. The wine list is pricy too, with the cheapest red at around £27.00. Having got that out of the way their octopus stew is the best I've ever eaten, and the ham croquetas and the lemon ginger broccoli are very good indeed. So maybe we will return...

The food and wine at this restaurant are amazing! The anchovy tortilla is incredible, the best I've ever had. The classic tapas dishes are perfectly executed, and there are also some unique options that were a delight to try. The staff are lovely, and dining outside on the street in the summertime is fantastic. We are already looking forward to returning soon. Voir le carte

The food and the service were good and I don’t have any major complains in that respect. What I find a bit over the top is the prices. I think we paid 6.50£ for some vermouth, which is probably the market value of half the bottle. The portions were very small, the food good. I would have paid 70£ per head happily for very good food...but these were overpriced tapas without nothing too exciting with plenty of better Spanish restaurant in the area.

We booked Trangallan for dinner. The meals you order are tapas style, most of the portions are very small and pricey however the quality of the meals are good. Our favourite from what we tried was the pork tenderloin with the salsa verde, the pork was really well cooked (melt in the mouth perfection). We wouldn't recommend the morcilla. We were expecting the spanish equivalent of black sausage but we ended up getting quite a gritty tartare equivalent with egg yolk, personally not an enjoyable texture or taste. Overall, a pleasant visit but we won't be going out of our way to visit again. However if you are in the area then do stop by for some decent spanish tapas and wine.

We had dinner at Trangallan. The food was amazing; very fresh, and different from any common taste, but very familiar at the same time and comforting. The tuna tartare and the octopus were superb. It is generally a bit pricey but unfortunately, the price of some of its plates is ridiculously high relatively to the size of the portions they serve. The cheese plate was just 3 tiny pieces for £7.5, and what felt as quite unkind is the half tea-spoon of yogurt in one of the three tapas deserts served together. Although £10 for the three seems reasonable, the almost non-existent yogurt (which is the cheapest of ingredients) in the yogurt and rhubarb/lemon sweet tapas seemed like a farce. Very nic...
