"We visited on a cold, wet Monday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This is our 4th year visiting the beautiful misty Isle, and needless to say, we absolutely love Skye. The restaurant was welcoming, warm, and relaxed yet totally professional. We had a trio of fish and a blue cheese salad as starter's followed by fish and chips. I realise this doesn't sound overly exciting, but both courses were absolutely amazing. My beautiful wife and I can honestly say we haven't ever had fish and chips that were as good, fresh, and thoroughly enjoyable for many a year. To sum up our amazing experience, we have booked again for later this week and could possibly have the same again. Thank you to all."

"The most lovely place with the best staff. The produce products they sell are insanely good. The chocolates and desserts look amazing. We had a edible chocolate plant pot with chocolate gnash and a chocolate butterfly and a gluten free cherry and coconut slice and a couole of bits of clotted cream fude. Everything was awesome. We asked after chutney to go with nice cheese..... they didnt sell and but had some as an ingredient for their sandwiches. They put some in for free so we could enjoy our cheese....... if every place had people involved like this the world would be a better place"

"Skye is also home to the restaurant Three Chimneys, which is about an hour's drive from the main town of Portree. Nestled on a picturesque ocean inlet in a charming white cottage, this restaurant highlights the very best of Skye's local produce. Although it lost its Michelin star a few weeks after my visit, I would still give it five stars in my Foodie Melbourne guide. This establishment has been operated by the same owners since 1985—longer than I've been around— and even though they are no longer on-site, they remain actively involved in maintaining the ethos and high standards they have cultivated over the past 30 years."

"Called into this lovely old world traditional bar hoping to eat dinner. We were greeted by Andrea who has the friendliest smile we have ever seen. Despite her being extremely busy we were very well looked after and given a table as soon as one was available. The food was really good. We had lamb shank and rib. Both were utterly delicious. The choice of whiskeys is also a great feature with some of the gins also having been produced locally. We would definitely recommend a visit here."

"We tried this place as we were staying in a nearby holiday cottage. It seemed a good place to have a lazy Sunday lunch after a long journey the days before. I had originally tried to book a table but was told they didn't accept dogs in the restaurant or bar but we might be OK outside. It was a lovely day so we decided to sit outside anyway but I was surprised when I went to the bar to order to see a family in there with a dog!! I didn't get a welcome but the staff did eventually admit it was a day when everything was going wrong and we were bang on 12 so service was only just beginning. The were friendly enough but just distracted and disorganised. Soup for our starter was a bit light in terms of portion and not very hot. My squat lobster in garlic butter was a bit thin on the butter. Another dish of langoustines was OK but underwhelming. We had much better simple seafood at half the price at the Oyster Shed in Carbost. I think the bar would make a good drinking spot but the food was below par."
