Thirsty Bear Pizza - Carte

I absolutely adore the pizzas at Thirsty Bear, particularly the vegetarian one with artichokes. The crust is perfectly crafted, and the pizza is generously drizzled with olive oil.

One of the best pizza places I've been to! The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and provide great company. The menu is fantastic, and the drinks pair perfectly with the food.

Table service, which is carried out by a very efficient bar service, is well served. The pizza here is really good and they are absolutely huge, but you can also buy from the slice. Good selection of drinks and sports on overhead panels. Voir le carte

I received table service for a pint on the first floor terrace. Nice to be out in the open air but not much of a view due to the high rise flats around. Outdoor heating a bonus although I didn't need it. Friendly staff and generally a cool place to socialize or reflect. Would recommend.

Great restaurant with the opportunity to eat enormous quantities of pizza at a great price. Beer selection wasn't bad but they were out of stock of our first choices. Venue was Covid friendly with checking in being mandatory. Puddings were OK. Service was OK. Worth visiting and we would go back again.

The wait staff was amazing—attentive without being overbearing—and the chef was a joy. Considering the quality of the pizzas, I found the prices to be very reasonable. These folks definitely know their pizza, and I can’t wait to visit them again. Their offerings make Domino's and Pizza Hut seem quite ordinary by comparison! Voir le carte

Impressed with the selection tastes of the Pizza's here. A little pricey but acceptable taking into account the bubbly, friendly/helpful staff a warm interior setting. Really loved the large pizza size. It was LARGE, and despite my friend and I being starving when we entered the place, we only managed to eat 2 slices each before asking for a doggy bag and having to loosen our clothes a bit.

The food is incredible can't fault it at all, I had 2 slices of pizza and a side of fries which was more than enough to be a meal. The service was OK but not great as the waiter was a bit awkward with us. My only other negative is the price as its not cheap, however personally I think its worth the cost but I don't think most people would agree as it'd literally just slices of pizza and sides.

The Thirsty Bear Pub is a refurbished venue on the outskirts of central Reading at the end of Kings Road. This place has bags of character. Spread over 3 floors there is the main ground floor as you enter, up the stairs to the middle floor which serves as an individual venue if required then up again to the roof top terrace which is a lovely little space out in the open air. Chatting to the landlord there are plans to try a DJ in the near future possibly using the entire middle floor. With a lot of potential this could well be an up and coming venue in Reading. Definitely worth checking out. Recommended. Voir le carte
