"We all ordered 3 courses, which started with a nice treat of a fish and chips aperitif which was small pieces of fish on a light potato crisp and deep fried ham hock different to the starter This was served on a bed of hot...stones. We tried the lobster, which was exquisite, the ham hock and duck liver parfait, For main course we went of the Rib of Beef (could have done with more as it was so good) and Partridge. Pistachio soufflé and a nice selection of cheese and biscuits. This is clearly one of the best restaurants in the area so don't be misled by the rating system within TripAdvisor as most people will know the Orangery restaurant is in the same hotel but this is the best and most expensive. A very good country hotel."

The restaurant offers delicious food and an excellent wine selection. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is top-notch. It's a great place to enjoy a nice meal.

Situated in Kilworth House Hotel. food and drink isn't the cheapest but very good, nice restaurant as it only has approx 10 tables, and service is great.. definitely eat in here if stopping. Portions are not the biggest but very tasty !!! All good!! Voir le carte

Went with a number of collegues for a lunch time meeting. The staff are very friendly. The meal was fine but there was nowhere near enough vegatables and we had nearly finished our meal before some more arrived. I am sure this will improve before...our next meeting.

birthday party in wordsworth for a Sunday dinner. he began to wait with an excessive wait until someone put us into the room, followed by cold netzen, false desserts and over three hours for three courses. the bill was reduced to the bad service and food, but I would rather have paid the full amount and had a positive assessment to write. I will not return to lunch.

The appetizers were tasty, especially the bread rolls. However, we were disappointed when they brought out a new roll that had been microwaved. My wife enjoyed her steak, but my roast beef was tough and had a strange taste. Desserts were delicious and nicely presented, but overall, the experience was not worth the high price tag. The service was excellent, but the food did not meet our expectations for a pricey restaurant. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. Voir le carte

My 3 friends and I had a wonderful Christmas meal last Thursday.. We were very impressed with the main course choices. 3 meat options, 2 fish and 2 vegetarian at £38 per head. (Much better than Rushton Hall which is £55 per head) All courses...were excellent and the price included tea or coffee and petit fours. the service was excellent and the restaurant itself is very impressive. We will definitely be going back. Well done Kilworth House and for accommodating us at short notice.

We have visited Kilworth House before, but decided to give it another try recently. We were not disappointed - dining at Wordsworth was fantastic! We have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants, and I must say that this one would fit right in. The only suggestion I have is that they should consider adding more options to the menu as there were only 3 appetizers, 3 main courses, etc. It was a bit disappointing to see the restaurant not very busy, but I think it might be because it was January. We will definitely be returning!

"I visited my daughter and son-in-law last week and on my request they had booked a table for us on black horse on Saturday night at 1 o'clock. we arrived shortly before the pm and all four of us stood in the bar where two were served. it wasn't busy. no one told us anything until the bar was clear and then one of the ladies looked at me and I said we booked a table in my name of my daughter and she saw the bookings and said oh yes, we had table assigned and pointed into another room. there was no greeting no smiling, so we met our way to the table and sat there. there were no menus on the table, so I stood up to find some and someone only made their way from the other room in the direction of our table. we ordered drinks that were in themselves a task, as they had no free or dietary limmonade, so I had to go to the end for a gin with slimline tonic. then we ordered four different meal times. I ordered a vegetarian curry in naanbrot and when it finally came, I was so disappointed because the naanbrot was burned and the curry was cold on the outside, so I asked them to take it back. the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else and I went back. my daughter then shared some of her meals with me, who were chicken pupils. they were coated in a teig that was extremely fat. the menu does not seem to come out of any meal with fresh vegetables, everything seemed to come with chips and draughts, even the Steak-Mahl came only with chips and draughts, no mushrooms, tomatoes, wobble rings or something. I wasn't impressed. for a pub that wants good reviews, I think they have lost the property. the customer service is everything and fresh vegetables is essential. I'm sorry to be the bearer worse, but we won't come back."
