"Tired and hungry, five of us went to the Queens Head for a late Sunday lunch. The atmosphere, service, and food quality were all fantastic. We started with drinks from the bar, followed by a variety of appetizers and delicious roast dinners with a generous assortment of vegetables, huge Yorkshire puddings, and thick, tasty gravy. We finished off with some shared desserts. The prices were very reasonable, so you don't have to break the bank to enjoy a satisfying meal with a few drinks. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area and craving hearty, home-cooked style food."

Nice location. Food is average and a little overpriced. Not much selection. Not sure I'd go again. Staff were friendly attentive

popped in for Sunday lunch, good friendly service and the food was amazing. Great starters followed by roast lamb and the kids loved their puddings.

The food was not up to par and the service was lacking on a quiet evening, with the staff more focused on chatting among themselves and being on their phones.

Absolutely amazing place. Friendly staff. Food was exceptional. Nice to see a local pub with the bar full of people. Amazing views from the garden. And super friendly staff. Will be back Voir le carte

I visited this restaurant on a Friday after coming from the nearby campsite. It wasn't very welcoming, there were very loud locals at the bar, and the menu seemed overpriced for average pub food. Additionally, it didn't appear to have a kids menu. I left after just 20 minutes to find another place to eat.

Had a lovely visit to the Queen head for a spur of the moment dinner with the family. The food was really good and the service we had from the young waitress was very good. It was a homely feel due to the log fire and there was a sale on food which resulted in every one feeling full and sleep set by the fire.

What a disappointment the Festive menu Christmas dinner was . Hard roast potatoes, rubbery yorkshire puddings, raw stuffing a very strange square of sausage meat masquerading as a pig in blanket and watery gravy and not a cracker insight. Plus the restaurant was freezing not a very festive atmosphere having to eat lunch with your coat on! Voir le carte

All five of us in our group had a fantastic dining experience here. The burgers, gammon, and steak and ale pie were standout dishes - the pastry was excellent and the filling was tender and tasty. The restaurant offers a great selection of local beers and the service was efficient and very friendly. Overall, we had nothing but positive things to say about our meal!

I managed to get away from the kids for a while and decided to visit the local restaurant in our neighborhood. We enjoyed a tasty pie, mashed potatoes, and vegetables, while my husband had a burger. We also had a few glasses of Merlot and a pint for him. The service was excellent, and it's a wonderful family-friendly pub. What more could you want?! The views from the restaurant are also incredible.

"I visited my daughter and son-in-law last week and on my request they had booked a table for us on black horse on Saturday night at 1 o'clock. we arrived shortly before the pm and all four of us stood in the bar where two were served. it wasn't busy. no one told us anything until the bar was clear and then one of the ladies looked at me and I said we booked a table in my name of my daughter and she saw the bookings and said oh yes, we had table assigned and pointed into another room. there was no greeting no smiling, so we met our way to the table and sat there. there were no menus on the table, so I stood up to find some and someone only made their way from the other room in the direction of our table. we ordered drinks that were in themselves a task, as they had no free or dietary limmonade, so I had to go to the end for a gin with slimline tonic. then we ordered four different meal times. I ordered a vegetarian curry in naanbrot and when it finally came, I was so disappointed because the naanbrot was burned and the curry was cold on the outside, so I asked them to take it back. the waitress asked if I wanted to order something else and I went back. my daughter then shared some of her meals with me, who were chicken pupils. they were coated in a teig that was extremely fat. the menu does not seem to come out of any meal with fresh vegetables, everything seemed to come with chips and draughts, even the Steak-Mahl came only with chips and draughts, no mushrooms, tomatoes, wobble rings or something. I wasn't impressed. for a pub that wants good reviews, I think they have lost the property. the customer service is everything and fresh vegetables is essential. I'm sorry to be the bearer worse, but we won't come back."
