"renters very rude for dog owners, considering that it should be dogs friendly. a dog barked on barking outside the pub. he sat on the opposite side of the pub and called out what's going on over there. when the dog is naked again. from the same ground he cried out, they are asked to go the dog owner lives in the village and is regular. when she tried to explain what the situation was, he said, then they would report me to the dogs. he lost another customer. including me and many other tribes. please don't spend more money in this pub. I will never recommend it until new manager is busy. Too bad it was a great little waterhole."

Yesterday, my wife and i took my aged aunt to Debenham, a village which was new to us but which my aunt knew well. The Woolpack is the only surviving pub in Debenham and is well worth a visit. Good traditional English food. Service between...courses was a little slow, but friendly staff more than compensated for this.

Staff are unfriendly. And positively anti customer. Got rudeness from one member of staff then the shift changed and I got the same standard of rudeness from the next one. For asking the same question about a meal. Will NOT bother to continue to go...there. I will go to the Victoria instead. They should be nicer to regular customers.

on the way back from a week, a short bite remained with our two children. beautiful dame behind the bar was really friendly and attentive, as the others and his shame that we could no longer stop. quaint and... comfortable, looks like they have a really good selection of al and a great relatiinship with the natives. they would certainly visit again. My partner and I arrived in Debenham on new years eve with no plans at all sorted, we popped in to the Woolpack mid-afternoon for a quick pint. The porter on hand pull was exceptional, the locals and staff were very friendly, so much so...we managed to get ourselves an invite to the NYE party! We had a fantastic evening, the landlady and landlord were great hosts. Best real pub I have been to for a long time.

Such a shame to be the last surviving pub in Debenham... please go in if you’re visiting as it is lovely. We were staying with relatives for one week and popped in here about 3 times!! Friendly owners made us feel welcome and they’re definitely...practicing safe social distancing measures. Lovely outdoor area with protection from all weathers. The food looked great and we would have eaten there had we not already been catered for. Keep up the good work!!

"I love pubs! How many times do you hear that? I only properly discovered them 18 years ago because in France, although we have our cafes, they are nothing like pubs. I fairly quickly categorised them because when you think about it, they are all different. The best description for me for this one is a town pub full of character. I discovered it thanks to a friend and started going to hold a French Conservation group. I have only had drinks so far and believe me if you are after reasonable prices you have to go to the Gladstone. I have recently paid £2 in another place for a soda and lime. Here they charge you £0.30. And before you ask, no, it's not because it's served in a shot glass. When you enter the premises you will notice first the space. It has got room but you also can decide to sit in a smaller area. There is a fire place which is really nice especially at this time if the year. I went last Saturday to meet with a friend and we decided to have something to eat. If you want a night out but your are on restricted budget this is the place where to go. Ok the menu doesn't give you a massive choice as some do but in fact think about it, it won't take you too long to make your decision. The choice is good and the prices quite low. If you are vegetarian they certainly have thought about you. I am not but to be fair I've always wondered why the choices seem to be so restricted for those who are when eating out? I ended with the chilly beef and cheese. I like the fact you can choose to have it with rice or bread. The serving is good and I really enjoyed it. It was very tasty. The staffs work hard, are very pleasant and easy to interact with which is exactly what you want in a pub. It's a place with great atmosphere. And if you enjoy watching tv in a pub this is certainly the place where to go. It was a very reasonable and enjoyable night out. I'll be back!"
