"We decided to have lunch at the Woodman on a rainy Monday and were pleasantly surprised. We usually eat at a different pub in the village, but decided to try something new and we are glad we did. The food was amazing! The sharing plate we had for a starter was huge and provided plenty of food for both of us, and it was also great value. For our main course, we both had the duo of bark, which was delicious and highly recommended for meat lovers. The pub itself was cozy and had a relaxing atmosphere despite the current regulations. Overall, I highly recommend the Woodman. Let's support our local pubs!"

This pub is excellent, with exceptional ale and gorgeous food. I would highly recommend it. The only thing to note is that from the outside, you wouldn't guess how good it is.

The host was absolutely fabulous, making us feel very welcome, and even giving a warm welcome to Zak the dog. The Sunday dinner we had was the best we've had in a long time. Thank you!

we've eaten there twice. fish and chips are excellent with fresh squid that is delivered daily by hard pool. other elements on the menus very seductive. we plan to come back soon to try other decisions. Voir le carte

I visited this restaurant for a funeral buffet for the first time. The food was excellent and the service was fast. I really enjoyed the location in York and would like to come back again for a regular meal.

We dined in the cozy and warm outdoor seating area with our friends. The food and service were both fantastic and we will definitely be coming back. The Christmas chocolate truffles were also a delicious treat.

We booked the Marcia for our funeral, the staff were fantastic all night, and even went above and beyond when we moved from the function room to the bar and found a safe place to keep all our flowers. Though it was a sad occasion none of us could of wished for a friendlier more helpful venue.

beautiful pub in beautiful village, great location. drink a short walk at the weekend. for 12, so pub was empty, but stylish decor pleasant staff. great outdoor area, with children's playgrounds and plenty of table space. had seen or eaten rooms, but had a good mood over it and would return when in york again.
