"We had our Crafty Monkey works party at The White Horse with Adele tribute and it was a fantastic night. The venue looked amazing and really Christmassy and really got us in the festive mood. The pre-ordering was easy and we all got what we had ordered. Staff were friendly and helpful. Adele was great. Only complaint was we struggled to blow up the balloons on our table but it provided us with fun trying! We managed to smuggle Elf in and he had a whale of a time as you can see in the photos! The White Horse have really worked hard during the pandemic to keep everyone safe and their covid measures were good. It's such a great venue with their marquee area. Great owners who are really personable and helpful! Thank you The White Horse and I hope you don't mind we smuggled Elf in!"

Very, very nice place. The staff could not have been nicer. The drinks and food were very good. The character of the inside was as I had hoped; cozy and inviting. The Christmas decor, just adds to the ambience. I definitely recommend a visit or two.

Bar staff, waiting staff and manager are super friendly and so helpful but sadly food was not very good, seemed rushed and not much love put into it. BBQ Ribs were very dry with no sauce, pork belly starter was cold and so was the roast. Cocktails were delicious and the barman making he cocktails is great!

3 of us and a small dog. We visited last Friday, with a very warm welcome that wasn’t just the fire. The main barman (possibly the landlord) was so proud of the food menu he knew what to suggest he explained how fresh the food was. All of us had a lovely 2 course meal couldn’t fit any more in. It’s a beautiful looking pub friendly staff. Would recommend 100%. Thank you.

Went in here pre-lockdown with my father for a Sunday Lunch. It was ordinary at best, and very slow service. TWO STARS. Thus when it came to my Fathers wake a couple of years later I was rather apprehensive. However they did us proud. We had the back room/restaurant to ourselves, the food was good, varied and plentiful, and the overall price was very good. FOUR STARS, so three overall.

Three of us went to this restaurant for a Mother's Day roast dinner. It was absolutely lovely. We ordered the lamb, beef, and turkey dishes. The portions were generous, piping hot, and all the meats were tender and delicious. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the Yorkshire pudding was huge. The gravy was amazing. The service was great - attentive but not rushed. The restaurant itself was beautiful. I highly recommend it.

I recently went to this restaurant for a family birthday celebration. It is a charming old pub with ample parking. I ordered steak and chips, and the steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed their meals and commented on the delicious cooking. My only complaint was that the chips could have been improved. The restaurant was fairly quiet, and the service was excellent with attentive and polite staff.

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
