"The dining experience was fantastic, although there was a slight delay with our meals, especially considering it was a bar meal. However, the food was delicious and there were plenty of us dining together. The service was excellent, as always, and the staff were lovely. It seems like the new management is focusing on making improvements, but there are still some areas that need attention. We were disappointed not to see Kirsty, but we heard she was having a meal with her family. It's always nice to see employees enjoying the food at their workplace. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant again and again."

The food was amazing but it always is! The service was also great. Good value for portion size! We could not fault the evening at all.

Lovely staff, attractive pub and restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Popped in for drinks and desserts in the bar. Restaurant looked really nice. Would certainly visit again.

The food at this restaurant was tasty, but unfortunately, the menu has remained the same for many years. Most dishes come with either bread or chips, with no options for light or healthy meals available.

Absolutely Amazing I know I have said in previous posts how good this place is but omg once again the Xmas course is fab. Portions are great, Kirsty and Charlotte where amazing with providing everything we needed even though we are sometimes fussy. Will...be back again soon. Happy new year to a fab pub/ restaurant.

This was our annual Christmas team meal and we were as usual, wonderfully looked after and will have no hesitations booking again next year and popping in for a spot of their excellent bar menus when able. Food and service was spot on, hardly a...crumb left on any plates. Beef was superb as was the Turkey. Love it here.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends tonight. The pork belly with mustard mash was cooked to perfection. The vegetable lasagna was exceptional and surprisingly juicy for a vegetarian dish. Our waitress, Kirsty, was amazing, providing great recommendations and giving us a variety of options for hot drinks. The wait time between dishes was reasonable, even with other tables to attend to. It was a very enjoyable evening overall.

beautiful birthday dinner on Sunday. mixed age group. Unfortunately, we were not the simplest table of indecision with our drink order to a very “difficult to please” family member. the personal was exceptional, friendly and particularly understanding. eating was mainly the roasts .big portions and delicious yorkshire puddings meat and veg. thats was quiet and really a credit to the white hard thanks. the pub was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and I would definitely recommend and go back. Thank you.

After being a regular customer here for years, the service here had recently gone downhill. minute waits between courses, items on the menu left off the plate are very small portions (eg. Pigs in blankets, parsnips and roast potatoes (all plural) came out pig in blanket, parsnip and NO roast potatoes). Had to complain to get the correct menu listed portions. Hopefully this is just a temporary glitch in what has usually been a good, reliable local restaurant. Maybe the Covid Brexit effect or new management? Hopefully things will improve soon!!

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
