good food from the kitchen that were very busy. we had a party of 16 and the meals came in quicker success, although we had to preorder due to the pay. all in all a rewarding experience

great pub. I wasn't sure what to expect. we went to a Monday and participated in the pub quiz. it was much fun and much better organized than some pub quizs I was in past. also has a large parking space that is comfortable

Sunday dinner, 4 adults. there were not many when we arrived. had 3 courses, the starters were out fast. the other courses we had to ask where they were. 35mins wait for the first, 20mins on desserts. the food was excellent.

The atmosphere at the Wheatsheaf is always great, no matter which evening you choose to visit. Our server, Grace, was chatty, friendly, and professional, as was the assistant manager, George. We always enjoy catching up at this restaurant.

This is a great place for an evening meal. Staff are polite, friendly and welcoming. This is the second time we've visited in the past 2 weeks. Both times have not disappointed us. Good hot food and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Well done guys. Table 6 . See you next week.

The pub is charming and the staff are very welcoming. The menu offers a nice variety of options. I decided to try the Gammon and found it to be quite delicious. The only downside was that my egg was overcooked and, along with my dining companions, we all felt that our meals were just...

I took some time to consider this review, but I believe it is important to provide an honest assessment, whether positive or negative. I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast and was pleased to see familiar staff members. I settled in and noticed that there was only one other customer besides myself.

"Attended a family wedding here recently. The restaurant, the location and the facilities were top notch, I think you would have to work hard to improve on what they have achieved here. However, the bar staff in the first floor function suite leave much to be desired ! Their attitude and reaction to the wedding guests during the wedding reception and evening event should definatly be improved ! It began with the sullen faces of the waiting staff during the reception , most should learn how to smile only one lady waitress blonde hair new starter was polite and smiled give her a job in staff training We asked for a bread roll during lunch, to be told, only for guests who have ordered soup ! Eventually after asking again they brought two over for the brides father... The evening event was a challenge when we struggled to understand why the part bottles of wine had disappeared from the table, when most of the guests were drinking spirits and beer etc. The penny , or should I say the C £17,000 dropped when the waitresses were removing full glasses of drinks from the table without checking! When challenged , the nonchalant response was to place the drinks back on the table and march off like petulant teenager! Our dismay was amplified the following day during a conversation with the restaurant manager told us , that 's what we do, If you need to keep your opened bottles of wine on the table you need to let us know , otherwise they will be removed! oh, so the wine is cleared along with the newly poured drinks too then? I don 't think we, or anyone else we know have ever been to a restaurant and even thought to tell the waiting staff not to take the half bottles of wine away before they have been emptied ? This usual practice was not discussed when we booked ! A cynic could suspect they re sell the newly recovered wine by the glass. This said, the manager did compensate with two bottles of the brides choice , so thanks for recognising the issue. But please consider NOT removing part bottles etc without checking in the first place."
