A local pub that you have to know about to find if you are a tourist, very nice and friendly staff. Away from the city centre

Wow! This roast was worth every penny. The pub has a cosy atmosphere and it was the perfect environment to enjoy the delicious roast in. Each element of the meal was absolutely gorgeous, I will be coming back.

The staff at this restaurant are always friendly and accommodating, even when I mistakenly thought I had made a reservation. The vegan option is delicious, especially their vegan gravy which is the best I have ever had! I was even able to mix and match some items on the menu and they were generous with the extra gravy.

We booked a table at the West Hill for Sunday lunch with family friends. We had such a lovely time, all of the staff are so friendly and made us feel right at home. The vibe the **** Mary’s are great and as for the roasts well they are delicious. We all cleaned our plates (they are large portions! lovely selection of sides desserts too. Loved the truffle cauli cheese and pigs in blankets! We’ll be back! Voir le carte

Came here with the girls on the Friday night at about 9.30pm and were served quickly and found a table to sit on. The pub had a good atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was no longer open but the staff said we could order food in from outside if we wanted which I thought was a nice touch! We didn’t order anything in but it was nice to hear! Friendly place with excellent choice of drinks!

I am so happy we discovered this restaurant for Sunday lunch - it was the best Sunday roast we've ever had. They offered a selection of beef, lamb, and pork belly, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. The portions were very generous. Our plates were filled with slices of beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, red cabbage, broccoli, green beans, roast carrots, mashed swede, and plenty of gravy. We also ordered cauliflower cheese, which was just as delicious as everything else. The service was excellent and matched the quality of the food.

Wheelchair users can enter the building, but don’t know about accessible toilets. Toilets were clean and tidy Food options for Sunday were varied and interesting, not standard fare for lunch. vegan options available. Portion sizes were very generous. Food was delicious, flavorsome, with thought going into there creation. Cost of food was very reasonable, though I feel it would justifiable to charge more because of the amount and quality: Staff was friendly, warm and welcoming.
