"Somewhat disappointed. Had to wait a little while for our table when we arrived, which was fine. When we were seated, we were positioned close to a 21st birthday 'party ' for 30 people who were inevitably rather loud. Felt sorry for several couples who were right next to them. Where we were positioned, my wife and I were constantly bumped into during the evening by the staff who were clearly overstretched and other restaurant guests. It took 10 minutes after we were seated for anyone to take a drinks order and annoyingly a couple who had literally just taken their table were served straight away and before us. We went straight to mains. Wife and youngest son had the burger which they said was nice. My eldest son had a rump steak (medium) that he said was extremely 'chewy '. I had the crispy duck salad which whilst tasted ok, the portion size was more akin to that of a starter. My son asked for ketchup and we were given a bottle that was almost empty. We told the waitress when we finished that it was empty but when the next table also asked for ketchup they were given our empty bottle ! I reckon that we just caught them on an extremely busy night."

ordered from the festive menu. the food was top class well presented quality ingredients used to do good cooks. only error was the room so cold until I had to wear my jacket during the meal. would have stopped for more drinks, but decided to move into a warmer pub.

I ordered from the festive menu and the food was excellent with high quality ingredients and well-presented dishes. The only downside was that the room was quite cold, to the point where I had to keep my jacket on throughout the meal. I would have stayed for more drinks, but opted to go to a warmer pub instead.
