"We booked a table for 5 (4 adults and 1 child . Sat outside and enjoyed some nice views. The bar area is nice with plenty of drink options. The food was poor but the service was worse. We ordered three seafood cocktails (which is essentially a prawn cocktail and came with between 4 and 6 small prawns per dish and one Brussels pate (bland . It was close to an hour before the mains came. At no point during our meal did a member of staff come to our table and take a drinks order you are expected to go to the bar. We had four beef mains and one children’s beef. One dish was forgotten about and took another 5 mins to arrive together with our cutlery (which we had to ask for! . The meat was tasteless and some of the yorkshires and potatoes were burnt. No one checked to ask us how our meal was. When the bill came it was wrong and there was also an overcharge of £20 it took 5 members of staff to sort it out. There are much better pubs in the area it’s probably OK to go for a drink only but anything else is beyond their capability; your money will be better spent elsewhere."

the staff was very helpful and polite, eating was in order, not happy with the sweetness they were under the flesh, some of them and soggy. the sweet one had been broken, dressing the court so it looked a mess.

Very nice place to stay. Food was excellent, room was clean and the staff were helpful. Evening meal was always hot, breakfast was cooked to perfection, plus the lady that cooked was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Hotel is situated roughly ten minute drive to Droitwich and a twenty minute drive to Worcester, ideal place to go visit these places from, looking forward to a return visit in the new year.

Have always driven past this pub and thought how nice it looks from the outside. I went in yesterday for dinner. While waiting to order an argument broke out over someone asking if they did takeaway. A man was shouting and arguing, throwing his arms around and making threats, making a very very uncomfortable and scary atmosphere. I then found that the man shouting and swearing was actually Darren the OWNER! Vile behaviour. Who wants to go out and listen to an angry man who can’t control his emotions, shouting at a customer, despite the customer remaining completely calm. Vile man, would never want to go in there again. Even the bar staff looked scared of him. Seems to be ran by a big, horrib...

"Arrived a few minutes early at 3.15pm for our 3.30pm booking. Very warm welcome from blonde waitress at bar. Very quickly seated by dark haired waitress with glasses who wasn 't very friendly from the start. Pub was fairly busy on arrival but soon became pretty quiet, perhaps explaining our tail end of service poor experience. Wine list had to be chased as didn 't arrive. Drinks also had to be chased. Service to actually place our order had to be chased as we were seemingly abandoned after asking for a few minutes to chose our meals after being asked for our order only a couple of minutes after arrival. Further service had to be chased from our dead zone later in the meal. These were details only, very annoying but par for the course these days sadly. The main and more significant issue was the quality of the roast beef. Tough to the point that you could not cut it. Also delivered not as requested in terms of cooking so lots of back and forth to get our meat cooked as we had asked. Numerous veg were cold or luke warm. Several yorkshire pudding way beyond crisp to the point of being burnt. Excessive salt on majority of veg. Manageress arrived fairly quickly and was initially responsive but the experience at this stage was already hugely spoiled. Replacement food was much better but by that stage we had been put off the whole lunch and to reflect this were offered 2 glasses of wine and a portion of custard to compliment our dessert! This place has been unreliable since the start of the Giles ownership. The family attitude to customers is poor. We asked for the manager to review the bill to reflect the poor experience and ended up being passed a phone to talk to the manager who had gone home. This some 3 hours after we entered the pub due to the awful experience we had encountered."
