"Living locally we were advised to try out the Unicorn, not having been there for a few years. We checked the menu and prices of food and drinks beforehand. So we had some idea about costs. We chose the Sunday carvery which was very good, and the service from the waitress' was also good. But when we came to pay we were shocked at the prices we were charged for two glasses of wine. We ordered a 125ml glass of Sauvignon to begin with. The cost of Sauvignon according to the web site is 4.50 for a 125ml glass. We were charged £7.00 a £2.50 hike in price. We then ordered a 125ml glass of Merlot £4.50 on the web site. Web were given a 250ml glass, but hey ho just another £1.50 according to the web site, but no, £9.50 on our bill, (a 3.50 hike at the very least. These prices at exorbitant to say the least nd nowhere near the advertised prices. It'll be a long time before we go back again, despite our close proximity to the pub."

£7.00 for a small glass of Rosé. The like of which one can buy for under £5.00 a bottle at Tesco. It's the last time this establishment will make that money from us.

We were a group of 5 and had Sunday Lunch here. Great Value. Sadly though the food was Luke warm. For the price paid you would expect the food to be piping hot this was not the case.

Lovely clean and warm pub restaurant. Good choice of food, tasty and freshly made. Very child friendly, took our 16 month grandson and the staff were excellent with him. Good children's menu.

Simply delicious and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend! Limited veggie selection but we had the Halloumi burger and its the only place with been where you get a decent amount of Halloumi! Will be back soon Voir le carte

Lovely atmosphere, good portions, plenty of fresh veg, proper cauliflower cheese and lots of meat on our Sunday Roast, will definitely go again. Only criticism is price of a glass of wine a bit steep. Staff all friendly and efficient

Four of us went to The Unicorn for Mother’s Day Sunday Roast. We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. Great food, all of us had the carvery and all enjoyed it. All staff were friendly and there was a lovely touch at the end, where my friend and I were given a small primrose plant as a Mother’s Day gift.

We attended for the SUnday Lunch Carvery. The food was fantastic, a huge portion of meat, great selection of veggies, lovely gravy and all nice and hot which isn't always the case with a carvery. We did feel the drinks were a little expensive but it didn't take away from the experience, we will come back for sure! Voir le carte

I've eaten here on multiple occasions as the food is delicious and staff very attentive. Various gluten free options too. The chicken and bacon salad (without the croutons) is delicious. My children also love eating here. It's great for nights out with friends, meals with family as well as brunch. Definitely worth a visit.

Great pub with fantastic food, especially the fillet steak. It really is good, succulent and cooked as requested. The only problem is that they are charging London prices this is a country pub. £37 which includes £2 for a pepper sauce. It should be included. If the prices stay high the footfall is going to decrease. Wines are also too expensive. Decent red or white wines in the £15 pound range are very easy to source, so why have wines in starting in the £23+ range. This is a great pub with great staff, they just need to adjust their pricing.
