"My wife and I stayed at the Trout Hotel on June 15th for 2 nights. My wife is in a wheelchair, so we decided to call room service to make ordering easier. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone, so I went to the bar to place our order. The restaurant manager took our order but did not provide an explanation for why the phone had gone unanswered. The next morning, we went to breakfast and were shocked to see a makeshift 45-degree ramp leading up to the breakfast room. It was very difficult for me to push my wife up the ramp. After breakfast, I had a hard time wheeling her down the ramp, as it was angled and not square, causing us to almost fall off the side. It was extremely dangerous. Alison, the breakfast manager, came to our aid and reported the issue to the manager. The next time we went for breakfast, the ramp had been fixed. Well done, Alison, for helping to prevent a serious accident. The restaurant manager I encountered the previous evening was not very personable and did not smile once. Perhaps Alison would be better suited for the job, as she was very helpful and accommodating. Other than that, everything else was good."

Recently visited the area and had a breakfast on a walk in basis. It was really nice and staff were very friendly. It is a little on the expensive side though. Voir le carte

I had a disappointing experience at the Trout Hotel, where I was served some of the worst food I have ever had at a supposed 4-star restaurant. All of the courses were equally terrible. I will not be returning to this establishment, as it is a disgrace to the culinary experience of dining out.

We had lunch at The Trout. We both ordered the steak baguette with Dijon mustard mayo and a side of skin-on fries, along with two diet cokes. We were the only customers in the bar area when we placed our order. Our food arrived after about 25 minutes, but our drinks were missing. We asked a waiter to check on them. The baguettes were pale in color, doughy and lacked flavor. There was minimal steak and mayo, with no Dijon mustard as advertised.
