"This was our first visit since lockdown, having eaten there on many previous occasions and have always enjoyed reasonably priced, home cooked food. However, the first thing we noticed was the changes to the dishes on the menu and how expensive the meals had become....A small bottle of Diet Coke was We ordered our food via mobile phone, which we thought was a great idea. When our drinks arrived, however, our waitress left them on an adjacent table, which meant that we had to get up from our table to get them! See attached photo. My husband's choice of food was already out of stock, despite it being So he was offered an alternative, which was a little more expensive, but we were not charged the difference. When my food arrived, I was surprised by the portion size. I had ordered the quiche platter, which was supposed to come with garlic rosemary roasted potatoes, salad coleslaw. I think I had a teaspoon of coleslaw and the roasted potatoes' were actually crushed new potatoes, so not what I was expecting and was looking forward to. All in all, though we felt safe in the restaurant with the social distancing precautions in place, we were very disappointed with our food. It was expensive and the portions were a lot smaller than normal. We will not be returning for food again. Enhance this page Upload photos! Found it hard to believe I paid for a Quiche a little badly presented jacket potato a tiny portion of coleslaw and a minute salad. How disappointing.

Food was good, could have done with more roasts vegetables, beef was very tender. Well set out for social distancing certainly miss the way it used to be but that's life. Won't stop us going though

What can I say except a very disappointing visit to have a coffee and cake …. Staff next to useless . Nobody any interest in serving anyone … needless to say we were not served staff chatting to each other and taking no notice of...customers .. had to leave and will not come back again

Just been for a sunday lunch here, and we will not be rushing back anytime soon. each for course which was ok but expensive for what it was.Had to order from waiter but could have ordered through my phone app if it had been...explained properly. The mezls are placed at a drop off table which you have to go and get? No condiments were offered to you,and the way out which is a different route to coming in ,was not informed of that until nearly out!

Had super vegetarian breakfast this morning, very generous portions of freshly cooked food. Very confident and comfortable with the social distancing measures in place. We had prebooked as recommended were given a warm friendly greeting and shown to out table . It was very easy...to order and pay by phone, no problem at all. The food and drinks arrived quickly and were delivered to our “side table “, a great idea to minimise contact. Well done to all staff here working under difficult conditions, thank you xxxx

The Topiary has never failed to deliver quality food and service but this year especially with all of the difficulties it seems to have gone the extra mile when we went for our afternoon tea. There is a new and easy innovative system involving ordering...by mobile, social distancing within the restaurant was very reassuring and the service remains polite, upbeat and delightfully friendly. My friend and I felt safe there and were provided with plentiful cakes and sandwiches with our tea. For those looking for a treat and want reassurance that wherever they are going will take every care they can to look after you, this is the local place to go. Highly recommended to beat away any looming lock...

The online menu has Specials, but it wasn't offered at the table which was surprising for a Saturday I thought. Limited choice at after We ordered Fish Finger Butties, which were served with Mayonnaise not Tartar Sauce. They were nice but definitely not worth...the price tag. The coleslaw was nice but the"side salad consisted of a few items placed atop a very small little gem lettuce leaf! Cake selection is poor, not the options they had when they opened after refurbishment and nothing like the choice there used to be pre Strikes. We also ordered buttered scones, only for the waiter to add with Jam and cream so we agreed. The price for a buttered scone was ... don't know what the charge was...

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
