Lovely food and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. The staff were great and will definitely be going back.

Just had Sunday lunch and it was amazing. We’ve never had a bad meal here, the Sunday roast is exceptional, lots of wonderful veg and the service is great. Can’t recommend it highly enough…in the words of Arnold Swartzeneger “ we’ll be back”.

Called in today as saw Facebook post re £10 lunch deal in November. Could not recommend highly enough. It was pie day today and we had Chicken and mushroom pie and fish pie. Could not be faulted. Thank you. We'll be back this month at least a couple of times.

Every time we have friends visiting and we go out for dinner, we always choose to dine at the Thatched Tavern. The food and service are consistently excellent, and we are always satisfied. We wouldn't dare go anywhere else, as we fear it wouldn't live up to the high standard set by this restaurant. When something is working well, there's no need to change it! Voir le carte

The warm and friendly greeting at this pub made all the difference in our dining experience. The food was top-notch and the service was excellent. Each of our three meals was outstanding - delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. It was truly the best dining experience we've ever had. We loved the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This really is some exceptionally good food. We both had Hake, with a bisque sauce, on saffron potatoes, and fennel, It was superb. The deserts are really good, they arent too sweet, just subtle, which means you can really enjoy the flavour. Poached pear and Apple tartlet we had. And then we had another desert, the chocolate dish, super rich, but again, not too sweet. Its the kind of desert you can have two of!

Pre booked and ordered in advance as a large group. Had a few allergies within the group and the choices were not the best gor them but chose a starter as a main and confirmed we would accept the extra cost but the starter size was given. We were told the staff did not like attending our table but we were all polite and also left a 30.00 tip so we couldn't have been that bad. I have had a roast before just 2 people but that was lovely so perhaps it is the large parties they struggle with. Voir le carte
