The Spade Oak - Menu

Extremely disappointing as the website looks excellent, food was cold, table sticky and service was mediocre, not a good experience.

We visit the Spade Oak on a fairly regular basis and always have a great meal, the standards are very high. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, the restaurant has a nice relaxed feel about it.

Lovely sunny evening, not so busy due to World Cup game, we should come here more often, great ambience, lots of menu choices. Why 4 out of 5? some portions could be a bit more generous. Overall a great place with friendly stalk, highly recommended.

great settings and beautiful outdoor seating. nice eating, very cheap and large portion size. Although in our arrival at a hot Sunday dinner time, we did not wait too long and there were many happy, friendly and competent employees we are recommended next time again in the opposite.

the bratbeef looked like it had been heated/boiled again and was quite hard. roasted potatoes were beautiful and veg and yorkshire pudding were ok. the sticky chili chicken was a tiny breast and dry and boiled over. the only companion was pommes. no salate or veg garnish. not impressed

A lovely pub but left somewhat desiring on the food. Steak was tough to chew and mushrooms were limp and stale. My partner had a salad with added halloumi which was slice of halloumi on top of the salad. Nice place, lovely location, but a bad day for food! Would try again and hope for something better.

Visit this place a few times now and yesterday (Sunday) was a lovely experience. The female who served us in the garden (pink hair) was so helpful and the food was great as always. She has some difficult customers to deal with but I believe they were trying to get a discount especially the two rude females on the table next to us… you horrid people. Anyway this is definitely a place to visit

I was often in this restaurant with a variety of friends and family. The staff has met with charm, courtesy and patience for every taste. During my recent visit, the waitress was able to discuss the intricacies of the menu and suggested alternative healthy options when I said I tried not to eat carbohydrates. I was very impressed! The food was delicious and my companion and I didn't want to go. I'm glad to come back soon. Thank you.

Waited over 90 mins for food. Pub busy but not manic. People were leaving having waited for their dinner. Obviously the kitchen staff had lost it as manageress spent a lot of time helping out. Noticed a lot of meals being returned. When ours arrived two of them were nice whilst the other two were not good. Both were roasts and the veg was not cooked. The parsnips could not be cut, they were rock hard. The man on the next table left but did say that previously he had no complaints at all. We will go again because it cannot be that bad all the time judging by the numbers there. Thank you for the discount which was not asked for.
