"We visited this restaurant two nights in a row since it was conveniently located next to our B&B. After reading some reviews mentioning "rude" bar staff—something I usually enjoy for a good laugh—I was hoping for a bit of banter. Unfortunately, that staff member was gone, but the replacement was extremely helpful and had a wicked sense of humor. I didn't catch any names because they were quite busy, but all the servers were very friendly and accommodating. The food was a decent standard pub fare, but Andy's gammon steak was the most delicious he had ever tasted. It's great to know it was made from local meat sourced from a nearby butcher!"

Generous portions served with care. We ordered burgers topped with chicken and lamb steak, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The staff was really friendly as well. A must-visit! Voir le carte

Wonderful local pub with fantastic staff. The place was empty when we arrived (group of 7) and their lunch menu wasn’t starting for another 20 minutes but they got it going earlier for us. Thoroughly surprised with the food quality.

Apparently the only pub in town serving hot meals on the Monday of our visit! So it was busy, and we were fortunate to book a table one hour in advance. Food was reasonably priced and fairly good. Nice friendly staff. Clean but old fashioned decor and furniture.

This charming traditional pub offers a warm and friendly atmosphere, serving classic pub food like lasagna, samphire, gammon steak, burgers, and steak and ale pie, among other dishes. On tap, they have a selection of beers including Moretti, Coors, Heineken, Guinness, and Old Speckled Hen, along with some more familiar choices. Be sure to arrive early, as the kitchen closes at 8 PM.

"Covid has presented some organisations with some proper challenges. Restaurants in particular with reduced capacities and timid punters who won 't come out to play yet were on the ropes until the chancellor bailed them with some tax payers ' hard earned cash. Since a two or three course Sunday lunch here gets you free entry into Portmeirion a hearty £37 off my bill for the four of us if you 're planning to visit anyway it was a no brainer that we should eat at the Brasserie. Currently you can only eat if you book in advance and by phone no on line booking is available which I 'd certainly recommend since we saw at least 3 couples turned down due to the place being fully booked up great news for the restaurant if not so for the hungry lunch hunters. The menu is short sirloin beef, braised lamb, roast chicken and trout with a couple of veggie options but this is never a bad thing in my opinion since it allows the chef to focus on quality. I had the mussels, lamb and the cheese board. Although all the normal Covid restrictions are in place particularly nice touch is the cutlery in its own wrappers declaring your perfectly sanitised cutlery none of it felt constrictive and the staff were brilliant at pretending they weren 't all washing everything furiously between each handling of every plate they touched and made us feel welcome and well looked after. The quality is far above your best gastro pub but with modest prices £20 for 2 courses, £30 for three with wines between £22 30 bar the sparklings and the four of us ate for £140 with drinks. We all need to get out and eat to save these businesses and I recommend this one whole heartedly."
