"there are not enough stars to explain how good the red lion is actually, so I take it from here. we came to lion because another pub we usually go to is closed at the moment, and neither my partner and I have ever been here, so we went to a living full-fledged village pub with not much space to be honest, welcomed by local and fellow workers alike. they told us that there are no tables, but that they keep themselves while they organized us something to sit and eat. once we sat by one of the waiting employees, whose kind was exemplary (unfortunately I didn't get their names, nothing was too disturbed. the appetizers were amazing, tapas style and were very good portions and everything was fresh sauces and cooked and all made home. eating from beginning to end was top quality, more than just pub bur, how real love and thoughts had gone into the food and how it was introduced. mary the renter and chef chef came out and to make an additional look back that was also something that was usually not found in their local. we were then hit by brand the renter, who is as warm and welcoming as the real fire that is in the bar when we first arrived. I would recommend to anyone looking for price-performance ratio to take a trip here, as the experience the eating and the drink were exemplary 10 out of 5"

tasty house boiled style eating. charming renter and renter, cozy environment. 5 stars food hygiene. not trendy or pretentious in anyway only a great place to eat and drink.

Lovely little stop for a quick drink on the way to Birmingham (due to M6 closure) Newly taken over 3 weeks ago beautiful menus, fish Thursday sounds great! Best of luck to you all.

Superb fillet steak meal to celebrate our lockdown wedding anniversary this week. Mary has triumphed yet again. Steaks and deserts (bread butter pudding/cheesecake) excellent take out service. Highly recommended A*

This place has recently changed hands, I have visited twice and both times I’ve head fabulous meals. Freshly cooked, well sourced ingredients in generous portions. Tapas is a winner here too. Best place for miles around.

on Sunday afternoon. owners are so friendly and they make a really good Sunday dinner. turquoise and bark with honey roasted whistles, masque, delicious vege and even a cheeky boar in the deck. will surely come back! also our puppies were very welcome!

what a tasty bite! Friday evening from mary was brilliant yesterday evening. sea bass and garnelen linguine and chili sauce is delicious, as mentioned last review) so good to have eat I don't cook! also homemade burgers and thai curry were very good...good we will do this again

Another fabulous meal... Seabass and Prawns on a bed of Linguine with a gorgious chile sauce... Thank you, Mary FABULOUS!! We would have no hesitation recommending the Red Lion meals, which of course were great when you could eat in. Mary is producing all of...them as an order and collect' so you can enjoy them at home! Brilliant!!!

Just had a selection of tapas, what can I say, it was extremely lovely, such a variety, all packed well as a take away collection, all tasty and an additional black pudding! hats off to Mary and we will be definitely ordering again very tasty,...fantastic, thank you very much can’t wait to order again and will be re visiting after lock down.
