"After being in lockdown for 4 months, we were eager to find a restaurant where we could safely bring our older family members who had been shielding. While many other pubs were closed or not equipped to accommodate them, this restaurant was both brilliant and very accommodating. The tents and tepees provided an excellent, innovative solution for keeping our parents safe while enjoying a delicious meal. We were very impressed and grateful for their efforts. Our elders were thrilled with the experience. A big thank you to all involved, we will definitely be returning soon."

Superb fillet steak meal to celebrate our lockdown wedding anniversary this week. Mary has triumphed yet again. Steaks and deserts (bread butter pudding/cheesecake) excellent take out service. Highly recommended A*

This place has recently changed hands, I have visited twice and both times I’ve head fabulous meals. Freshly cooked, well sourced ingredients in generous portions. Tapas is a winner here too. Best place for miles around. Voir le carte

what a tasty bite! Friday evening from mary was brilliant yesterday evening. sea bass and garnelen linguine and chili sauce is delicious, as mentioned last review) so good to have eat I don't cook! also homemade burgers and thai curry were very good...good we will do this again

Not only can you find delicious burgers and fish and chips at this restaurant, but you can also enjoy more upscale dishes. I recently had the sea bass with shrimp and linguine in a creamy sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. I also noticed that any negative reviews were likely from before the new chef and owners took over.

Another fabulous meal... Seabass and Prawns on a bed of Linguine with a gorgious chile sauce... Thank you, Mary FABULOUS!! We would have no hesitation recommending the Red Lion meals, which of course were great when you could eat in. Mary is producing all of...them as an order and collect' so you can enjoy them at home! Just had a selection of tapas, what can I say, it was extremely lovely, such a variety, all packed well as a take away collection, all tasty and an additional black pudding! hats off to Mary and we will be definitely ordering again very tasty,...fantastic, thank you very much can’t wait to order again and will be re visiting after lock down.

Congratulations to the team at The Red Lion for their innovative approach to social distancing. They have considered the unpredictable British weather by providing large, well-spaced teepees in their beer garden. This allows patrons to stay safe and dry while still enjoying the excellent hospitality, food, and drinks. I highly recommend this establishment!
