"We are fairly regular visitors to The Provincial and were really pleased that post Lockdown we could go back and support a great little local restaurant. We almost always go for a mixture of tapas dishes which are fresh, unpretentious, and invariably excellent. We particularly like the codfish fritters and the goat’s cheese croquettes. The staff are super friendly and the owner goes out and buys the ingredients every day. Great value for money the six dishes and a litre of sangria for £45 will fill a couple up."

If you are looking for a posh meal, The Provincial is not the place for you. However, it does deliver on tasty, plentiful food, friendly service and honest prices. For an authentic taste of Colombia it will not disappoint!

Food was excellent. Pork belly is really really nice. Prawns were good. My daughter liked the meatballs very much along with the chips. The Colombian styled walls are full of joy and they make me happy seeing all the colours.

Great food and hospitality all evening. Excellent recommendations of choice starters and mains. Challenged with the pepper sauce and extra side. Seafood is delicious and the wings were fall off the bone succulent. William is a star host and makes you feel at home.

Food was fair. A home cooked style meal. Really disappointing thing is that they added extra onto the price of most of the items on our bill just to bump it up. I hate that kind of behaviour. Then asked if I was going to give them a tip too. Left me with that kind of scammed tourist feeling in my own neck of the woods.

This is by far the best restaurant in Brixton for a Latin breakfast. The food is authentic incredible, the service is wonderful and great strong cocktails! The food is well priced and we come here for our breakfast all the time. The dinners are also amazing and portions are massive. Would really recommend to anyone visiting Brixton for a brunch or dinner.

Delicious food, made and served with passion and care. Great value and a good selection for all palates. Good for meat eaters or vegans. We had jerk chicken, cod cakes with spicy ginger sauce, cassava, haloumi with plantain, rice with lentils and spices. Everything had so much flavour. Portions were just right; a main and a side were comfortably filling. Music was fun and atmospheric. Will definitely visit again.

A group of friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the food at The Provincial. The restaurant offered mainly Colombian dishes, with a few Peruvian options as well. The food tasted very authentic and was delicious. The portions were generous, and I particularly enjoyed the Chaufa dish. Some of my friends opted for the vegetarian tapas and they were equally impressed. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly.

Happy to see this longstanding Brixton market restaurant back after the lockdown. As so much of the market is being taken over by big names having an independent restaurant as good as this a very good thing. The restaurant serves a wide range of popular Latin American dishes from Peru, Colombia and more. Everything we have eaten is delicious. The owner shops daily at Billingsgate market to get the freshest fish in London and ensures high quality, home stylecooking. Highly recommend for brunch or dinner.
