"The room itself was very spacious, which we appreciated, and the bathroom was also large and nicely decorated. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. For instance, there was no water provided in the room; even a bottle of tap water would have been a nice touch for the night. Additionally, there was no milk for our coffee and tea, which I believe is typically standard in hotels, so we were quite surprised. Furthermore, the coffee machine appeared to be unclean, and the fridge in the room had crumbs and hair at the bottom. Before heading out, my husband and I went to the bar area for a drink. While the bar staff were polite, the atmosphere felt rather dull. I think having some soft background music would enhance the vibe in that space. Breakfast in the morning was a significant disappointment. While the continental selection was beautiful, the cooked breakfast items were tough and overcooked—especially the sausages! The haggis was unappetizingly mushy, and we chose not to eat it. We had high expectations for this hotel due to its association with Peebles Hydro, but it didn't live up to what we anticipated, and we probably won’t be returning."

Popped in for tea and cake. Lovely cup of tea , delicious piece of clementine sponge. Very nice young man served us and the toilets were immaculate. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful hotel! Nice room, friendly staff, plenty of parking and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much! You can walk anywhere from this place. Gas station is across the street. Service: 5

Ordered cappuccino with oat milk and this is what I got. Made a complaint but the lady who served it just walked away without saying anything. Don’t sell oat milk cappuccino if you’re not able to make it. And perhaps offer a resolution rather than just walk away. The fruit scone was lovely though.

Avoid this place at all costs! The manager is clearly incapable of handling requests. I specifically asked not to be given the top floor room, only to arrive and find that same room assigned to me. The water pressure was awful; I could have stood in the shower for a day and still not gotten wet. Frustrated, I decided not to stay and left to go home, completely ruining our vacation.
