"I was not impressed with the customer service at this restaurant. We had placed a pre-order for delivery during my daughter's birthday party today. By 12pm, the order still had not arrived despite us calling four times. The first two times we were told that the order was on its way. The third time, we were informed that we hadn't paid, even though we had already made the payment at the restaurant. On the fourth call, we were assured that the food would be arriving shortly. Unfortunately, the food ended up being 45 minutes late, leaving our guests hungry and causing some of them to leave without eating. Overall, I would rate this experience as a one-star effort, with the only redeeming factor being the quality of the food. It's a shame that the service did not match the delicious food."

Ordered a chicken, mayo and sweet peppers baguette. Got home and no peppers. Second time it’s happened. Not driving back to get it rectified.

In Tavistock, you won't find more friendly and helpful staff anywhere else. The customer service was exceptional. This cozy spot is a hidden gem, perfect for grabbing a quick coffee or enjoying a delicious steak pasty.

We were looking for a bite in Tavistock sand wanted to go to a no nonsense convenient restaurant. We were welcomed with great customer service and served delicious fresh food. We will definitely come back next time we're in town.

We went in and asked for a table in the cafe but were told it was full, couldn’t book a table or wait so we ordered in the takeaway bit . I nipped to the loo through the cafe and low and behold there were two empty tables so I asked if we could sit at one with our takeaway pasties and was told by a young lad we could, having sat down we were then told we couldn’t however I just referred the other person to the young lad

We used to order from pasty house during lockdown however we started finding it was always soggy chips and hardly any sauce in the burgers or missing items such as cheese in a cheeseburger, so we stopped. However we have tried it again, and finding exactly the same, the chips are soggy, the tiniest drop of relish, and ordered a cheeseburger that had no cheese. Really disappointing, especially with the prices on the higher side.

I used to frequent this restaurant regularly when I lived in Tavistock for ten years, so I was excited to return for a visit after a 3-year absence. Unfortunately, we waited a long time to be seated despite many available tables. The table was dirty and I had to ask twice for it to be wiped. The lack of customer service was disappointing, and I likely would have left if my partner hadn't really wanted a pasty. When I ordered a Diet Coke, the bottle was simply dumped on the table with a casual "do you need a glass" as an afterthought. The service was awful and the atmosphere was lacking the character it used to have.

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
