"We visited Mama Fay's on our first night away in Aberystwyth over the Platinum Jubilee holiday.The shop is bright, colourful and full of life with great music being played. We were greeted by two lovely waitresses who showed us to our table. The entire process was table service, so we could be completely laidback.The service was speedy and the food was absolutely amazing. I would recommend the Halloumi Sticks, Jerk Sharer Platter Sweet Potato Tart.All of this, plus drinks came to about £26.50 each. For a three course meal and a drink, I'd say that is great value for money! If we ever find ourselves in Aber again, we will be popping in to Mama Fay's!"

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant for breakfast, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The meal was reasonably priced, with costs ranging from £10 to £20 per person. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. As for the atmosphere, it created a pleasant setting to enjoy our breakfast, also rated 4. The ambiance was inviting and comfortable, contributing to the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this spot for a satisfying breakfast!"

"Visited after seeing previous reviews and wasn't disappointed. My partner and I had the vegan seitan roast and my meat eating mum had the nut roast and said it was delicious. The oat milk chai latte was one of the nicest I've tasted. Great choice of food, lovely, friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. As a vegan it was lovely to have so much choice and would definitely recommend a visit. We wished we had room for dessert as the sweet stuff looked amazing too. Dietary restrictions: Great choice for vegans and meat eaters won't be disappointed"

"Great food and been there many times. As a party of 7, with 3 children under 6 years, thought best to book a table. Told on the phone that they don 't take bookings. Arrived early and found a large table, and just as the other 6 were arriving I was told the table was booked! If I 'd known I would have found another cafe. As it was we waited ages for a table with small children milling around, complete with dirty looks from staff. Disappointing. Some suggestions on how you could have dealt with the situation better: 1. Let us stay on the table until another table was ready, as the party for the reserved table did not turn up for over half an hour. 2. Apologise that the table was not clearly marked as reserved. There was a bottle that I noticed much later, where 'reserved ' was written on only one side, which faced the kitchen. 3. The waiter should have mentioned the reservation rather giving me menus and taking a coffee order while I waited. 4. The waiters (yes several, I must have looked like trouble) who turfed me off the table just as my family were arriving could have explained why the table was reserved when i had been unable to reserve a table because, as you said on the phone, you 'don 't take reservations '. You replied that it was reserved for a 'private party ' and when I asked how that differed from a table booking, you kept repeating the words 'private party '. I was none the wiser. 5. An apology would have gone a long way rather than treating me as a difficult customer. 6. You made me feel totally unwelcome at your restaurant. 7. Well done! Your service, or rather the lack of it, has lost a formerly loyal customer. Quite frankly I 'd rather eat at MacDonalds, at least they 're polite to their customers. "After hearing positive reviews, we decided to check out Sophie’s. Although the exterior and front part of the interior may seem unimpressive, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and friendly service. The menu was extensive, but I chose Sophie’s Hash with cheesy-topped curly fries, and my husband opted for the Down Under burger. Both dishes were amazing, with the hash being incredibly flavorful and the burger and chips being divine. We also enjoyed our caramel lattes. The service was prompt and genuinely friendly, making our visit seamless. We plan to return and potentially sit in the back next time, as the window seats were a bit crowded. Overall, it was a wonderful lunch experience at Sophie’s."
