"my wife and I and two more couples went for the first time in the graze last night (10/04/22). eating was ok, the service average, but the reason I feel obliged to do this is because what happened. we ordered the net when we were asked. first when we were ready and the same with the desert, but we were asked to leave our table and eat in the bar as they needed the table for the next cover. we led to a table in a bar near the beginning, which was a thorough road. they took a desert and our three coffees of the bill, but that did little to be honest. I am 55 and was never asked to leave a table for another party. I'll never go there again and not our friends. we will also publish this terrible experience on facebook."

"This was a return visit to The Wherry unfortunately the menu seemed depleted compared to our previous visits. The owners were really very welcoming and made our visit pleasurable, How ever the menu was not as it had been, not that I wanted the same old menu again, but the current one came across as fish or burgers, none of us are really burger eaters as a rule and one of our party can not eat fish. When we go our for a meal we are really looking foe something either that we would not have at home or at least as good as home cooking. One had fish the rest had burgers, which were all very nicely cooked, well presented and hot, as burgers go, they were absolutely fine Deserts were the usual pub deserts, cheesecake, brownies, unfortunately nothing to get excited about, but absolutely fine if that is what you like. personally I would have liked more variation on the menu. Overall, I would return here and possibly recommend it to others, but with a expect burgers."

"Wonderful!!! We stayed at the Swan Gillingham for a few days and could not fault it. The room was spotless and comfortable, roomy and well stocked with tea and coffee supplies. We ate in for several meals including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner over or stay, which were all cooked from fresh and of very good quality, prepared and cooked by good chefs, the plates were full and the price was very good too. All the staff where friendly and very helpful combined with a lovely atmosphere all round. I have an unusual severe allergy (not one of the common 14 listed) and I'm often turned away from restaurants where I live, however, the Swan at Gillingham had NO problem with it at all! As the food was made and served on the premises they knew exactly what the ingredients were for every item, including sauces and this was very unusual and a lovely treat for me. It made a real change for me to be able to eat different meals and combinations with sauces that I have never had before, I felt confident, safe and comfortable with the food on the plate and it was lovely. Gillingham Swan is a short walk away from Beccles town and the Norfolk Broads at Beccles. We highly recommend The Swan for staying or for meals, also recommend booking a table as it gets booked very quickly!"

"Planning a wedding brings out the darkest side of any bride. Its stressful and hardwork....I on the other hand was very lucky to have Charlotte and The Waveny team to take this pressure off me during the wedding planning process. The team went above and beyond to make our day perfect, seamless and amazing.....including carrying some flower pedastals down from the church which until I had to return them today had no idea how heavy they actually were!! Had I of I never would of asked. The can do attitude Charlotte and The Waveny team have is what every bride and groom need. Even with me throwing spanners in the works, asking if I could change last minute the timings of the wedding high tea which was made to happen. Every worry/hiccup eased, even with my worries regarding rain as we were walking down from the church. To which Charlotte responded with and if it does I will be running up to walk you down with an umbrella My friends and family had a wondeful day and blown away by the beautifully decorated rooms, wonderful food and service. We were complimented on venue choice all evening! My list of thanks and compliments to Charlotte, Glen,headchef, kitchen staff, bar staff, waiting staff, housekeeping and even to the friendly night porter who also saved the day is endless. My big day was made very big by The Waveny and is without doubt Suffolks top wedding venue!! See you soon and again many many thanks Mr Mrs MacTavish"

"For me wife and I, this is our go-to restaurant when we eat out. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is incredible. To expand on this. The restaurant is small, you should know this going in, but that only adds to the Italian feel. It reminds me of the small restaurants I ate at during my trips to Venice. Everything from the decoations to the music create the ambiance of Italy. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They are attentive without being hovering, and you NEVER feel rushed or pressured to eay, pay and leave. On top of this, the menu is incredibly varied and offers something for everybody, making it a great choice for either a romantic meal for two or a fun night out with friends. I cannot speak highly enough of Restorante Piatto, and always leave feeling full, happy and looking forward to the next chance to visit."
