"I had heard good things about The Navigation Inn but this was my first time to go there. I went with a couple of friends for a pre-Christmas celebration. The decorations were nice and it was lovely and warm with a cosy feel to the surroundings. The food, however, was poor. I ordered fish and chips with garden peas. The fish was overcooked with the batter almost burnt and the fish had dried up inside. The batter on one side was very thick so left quite a bit of it behind. I think I can honestly say it was some of the worst battered fish I’ve ever had. The chips were good but there were not enough of them. The garden peas were very nice and fresh. I’m hoping this was an aberration but my friends’ fish also looked over fried. None of us compared however as it was a Christmas get-together and no-one wanted to spoil the festive vibe by moaning!"

Gary and Heather are a welcome pair at the Navigation and offer a great service and great food and drink. The Navigation is a real village pub. Can't recommend enough.

Went here for food and wasn’t disappointed place in nice and cosy food excellent and a bonus for us they let dogs in We were made to feel welcome and will definitely be going back at some point Would recommend Voir le carte

We just needed a quick dinner out after a hectic day..... Food was excellent. Best bar food we've had in a long time locally. Service quick and friendly. Lovely pub.... Well managed and just what you need. Not many like this about now. Thanks guys!!!!

We had Sunday lunch here today. 19. 03. 23. Food very good. Service good but very slow, we were asked to leave the table for the next sitting even though we were still waiting for desserts, then again when we had been served our deserts but were not finished. Not sure if we will go back again.

Found this place on line when looking for a dog friendly place to eat. The food was delicious , staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Buster enjoyed the doggie treats and enjoyed meeting the other dogs. I would recommend this place to anyone living or visiting the area. Excellent customer service and a great atmosphere. What a shame, not been for a while! Had Steak pie! 3 pieces of meat! Pastry lovely. They used to have home pies made by one of the staff which was amazing! Where are they? Chips with skins on no alternative but wife’s meal came with French fries! Not much choice of veg beans and cabbage (red cabbage, it’s not Christmas) where’s the peas, carrots, cauliflower,French beans etc etc. used to get 5 veg on every plate! For £29 with one drink for two is expensive! Get a different pie supplier.

No wonder this Inn has received some excellent reviews. As a family from various parts of the UK we decided to meet up at The Navigation for a ‘get together’ and to sample some of the delights of The Navigation. Eight of us selected what turned out to be various starters and mains. There’s no need to replicate what has been said by many others other than to say what a most enjoyable time we all had at Breaston. Ok I will confirm the fact our meals were all exceptionally good. Not only that the pleasant way we were all treated by the staff ensured we all had a really great time.
