This welcoming neighborhood pub offers delicious food and a wide selection of drinks. The staff happily accommodated our request to watch rugby.

Well looked after and the food was fantastic. Landlords have a great sense of humour. We were made very welcome. Our first visit but by no means our last!!

Absolutely brilliant little pub friendly service, wonderful food and a gorgeous environment. We were staying in the cottage next door and even had our food hand delivered to the front door!!! Totally amazing :

We cycled here from home and thought we would stop for a drink. The food looked good so we ordered a roast dinner. The lady who served us was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff and an amazing chef. I have been twice and my partner claims it has the best pie he has ever tasted. The lamb rump was delicious. We returned for Sunday roast and it was perfect - the meat was cooked perfectly, with the beef pink and tender and the pork belly crispy and melting. The roast potatoes and parsnips were fabulous, as were the selection of vegetables and the proper cauliflower cheese. The prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be returning, as this restaurant is a hidden gem.

Welcoming Landlord where nothing is too much trouble. Pleasant and helpful staff. The food was absolutely scrummy, South African chicken curry for me and beef guiness pie for hubby. Everything was cooked fresh, lovely! I was pleased to be able to have alcohol free cider and alcohol free G T, as opposed to a soft drink, as I was driving. The tables are socially distanced so for us, having not being out for 18 months, we felt extremely safe which made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank You so much! I was recommended this amazing restaurant by a friend and it turned out to be the perfect rural pub. The friendly staff greeted us warmly and the menu offered a great mix of traditional pub dishes and more unique options, all expertly prepared by a talented chef. We enjoyed the delicious hake in tomato sauce and the gammon with fresh pineapple and egg. The homemade desserts were a lovely ending to our meal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was evident that the locals love this place. Although it's quite a distance from our home, we will definitely be returning for another memorable evening.
