"Been here on multiple occasions and the food is always of a good standard for what you pay. Everything is fairly priced. Went for Mothers Day on this particular occasion and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and had us seated in our lovely window table, food came out quickly and was to a good standard, good portion size and hot!! Only improvement is that the waitress took 20 minutes to even come and take our drinks order ... appreciate it was Mother's Day but couldv'e been quicker. Manager however saw we had no drinks and quickly rectified."

Good, reasonably priced food, smart service, nice atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again.

All ok but service a little slow after starters?? had to wait 15 20 mins for main course about 15 mins for two sweets, also thought beers a little exspensive

I had a great time catching up with friends over dinner on the patio. I ordered the seafood risotto, which was delicious, but I wished it had more seafood in it.

The mermaid was undergoing a refurb So only half the pub was open. This did not cause any inconvenience or disturbance to our evening. Looking forward to the complete refurbishment

I am 54 lived in Wolverhampton for most of my adult life and I have never been to the Mermaid! Lovely staff, enjoyable food and a good selection of wines. I will definitely go again with friends.

Sunday lunch was excellent Albeit there was far too much. I really appreciate fresh veg and not frozen the roast potatoes and roast parsnips and the savoy cabbage could not have done better myself

Lunch with family. Very attentive and polite service. Disappointingly the advertised fixed price lunch menu wasn’t available. So two courses cost more than the evening fixed price three course menu. Food was delicious. The crumble desert was huge but very tasty.

We booked through open table as it told us there were tables available for new years. We booked the table, return taxis and made no other dinner plans for the evening. On the morning I missed a phone call having worked nights the night before, at 5pm I listened to the answer phone message only to hear we had no table for the evening. This had left it very late on new year to book anywhere else and we also had to cancel the taxis and find last minute plans.
