This village pub and restaurant is absolutely delightful. The staff are friendly and attentive, and I must say, the vegan burger is the best I've ever had!

Came here last night with some friends and recieved a very warm welcome . Staff so friendly and helpful and as for the food ….. let’s say we all left full and very happy . 10 out of 10 for excellent food well presented and delicious We will be back Trevor

What a terrible experience , the waiter could not be bothered with us at all . Stood staring whilst we tried to make a decision . I felt intimidated and uncomfortable. We asked about a marinade due to an allergy and he barked it's just a marinade !! The steak wasn't rested and tough . Worked all week for a treat and got this ! Poor do .

Went to the maypole for lunch as had not visited in a long time and fancied a change. I can say it certainly didn’t disappoint 2 courses for £21 and not a thing to complain about. Staff were lovely and the food fabulous I must say the best dessert apple and date crumble I’ve ever tasted. Portions huge!! Now booked for Xmas eve and can’t wait to go again Voir le carte

Been a few times and consistently a welcoming experience. Tried a few things on the sandwich menu and nothing disappoints, food is fresh and cooked well. What stands out are the people, always happy to chat and accommodate, whilst offering good recommendations along with insights into the individual dishes which shows the care they put into the experience. Has become a regular spot for lunch to us. Highly recommend

Friendly and attentive staff with a welcoming fire warming the rooms. Solid tables with plenty of space between. Opted for the Pie and a Pint. The Beef, ale and stilton pie was superb with plenty of internal gravy, salted chunky chips and mushy peas. Happly consumer every day. Beer was good. Bar area requires a deep clean, I could clearly smell spilt beer that has found its way into the crevices that a daily clean doesn't catch. With such a busy business, the detail falls off the radar. Highly recommended a visit.

My family and I had a reservation for 1:15 pm at this restaurant. We were seated promptly and our drinks were quickly brought to our table. There were a few mistakes with our order, but they were promptly corrected. Our meals took 45 minutes to arrive - we ordered 4 roast beef adult meals and 2 sausage and mash kids meals. We had to wait over 5 minutes for the veg gravy, and there was only a small bowl of vegetables for all 6 of us. The beef was overcooked and tough, but the Yorkshire pudding was excellent. After finishing our mains, we were left waiting for over 35 minutes without being offered a dessert menu. Overall, it was a disappointing experience with poor customer service. Voir le carte
