"I have eaten at The Masons Arms a couple of times previously and been impressed, but this time, I was not overly enamoured. It was during a rugby game, so it was a noisy and friendly atmosphere. The staff were lovely and there seemed to be hundreds of staff. The food, however, was only so-so. It was nothing special and didn't have the same finess it used to have. I had a burger and paid extra for the cheese option. The burger patty was very tasty however the bun was just basic, the sauce too was basic and the cheese was a supermarket square of processed cheese dumped as almost an after thought in top of the patty, tasteless and not even meted onto the meat. A first for us, deserts were basic and somewhat taistless and we actually left some on the plate. This was disappointing to me. We all came away a little down trodden. Unfortunately, it may mean this will be our last visit there as there are plenty of other venues nearby that still seem to tickle or taste-buds more. Best food I've ever had , gorgeous proper old worldly pub and the prices are cracking as well. Brilliant garden and play area for the kids and the staff are very warm and welcoming. I'll definitely make this a regular!!

Wonderful pub. Wonderful people. A warm welcome awaits. . . We eat here most weeks and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. I notice some new beers have been introduced recently which is a nice change. Highly recommended

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of celebrating a 60th birthday with six wonderful ladies at Masons Army. It was the best afternoon tea I’ve ever experienced! There was an abundance of delicious food and a never-ending supply of tea. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special, and the warm welcome we received was truly impressive. Everything about our visit was fantastic, and we will definitely be returning. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a memorable occasion!
