"We went for a birthday treat for my son. The starters were lovely and the sharing chicken wing dish was very tasty. The mains came and looked the business, very well presented. My husband and son both had Sirloin steaks medium rare and they where cooked perfectly. However all dishes were heavily over seasoned and all you could taste was salt. My husbands sirloin steak was the worst and was sent back, it wasn’t just the steak the mushroom and tomato were inedible too. He didn’t want a replacement as by the time it would have come out we would have finished our meal. I had the sea bass this too was heavily seasoned with salt but was edible. Such a shame as the food looked beautiful. I would recommend the chef has an evening and re-tastes his own food and stops the ridiculous amount of salt being added. Leave the salt in a pot on the side for the customer to decide how much they want to add themselves."

Apart from feeling a little unwelcome at the start, the food was delicious, the prawns, venison and crumble was amazing. Lovely service at the table too. Well worth a visit for an occasion

The restaurant and food were both enjoyable. However, the service was lacking and really detracted from the experience. The waitress was unwelcoming and did not even greet us, she simply asked if we had a reservation, making us feel like an inconvenience. It took a long time for her to take our order and bring our drinks. The food also took nearly 45 minutes to arrive, despite the restaurant not appearing very busy. If the waitress had been more friendly, I might have considered returning, but her rudeness was a major turn off.

Impromptu visit on a sunny Sunday afternoon. They were thankfully able to accommodate us. There’s no garden as such to sit and eat outside really, unless you want to be on a busy road but the inside more than makes up for this-the place is stunning. Now I’m not one for a Sunday lunch but this blew me away! It was delicious. Perfectly cooked beef with the trimmings. The OH said he would have liked some mash with his for a 5* rating but I didn’t feel the meal needed this. Perfect crisp veg and huge yorkies! The price is very good for the meal you get. I’ve recommended to family and friends and wouldn’t hesitate to return if local in the area-would like to try their generic menu too.

"Been wanting to come here for a very long time after driving/walking past it, and my partner has wanted to come here since she’s moved here. Hand sanitizer upon arrival with track trace check in code. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly, helpful and all very masks. The lady we had who served us throughout our time (apologise I forgot her name began with A I think), she couldn’t have been anymore helpful. With a very wide range of food, she told us everything on the menu was very nice as she has tried everything! The decor of the restaurant is what I’d expect in a typical Italian restaurant, very rustic and has a feel of being in Italy. To start I had the belly pork with Jack Daniels sauce, I’ve never tried belly pork and it was so tasty and very tender. My other half had the goats cheese in filo pastry which was also very nice. For mains, I had the Risotto con salsiccia (spicy sausage, peppers, onions, garlic, tomato and chilli). It was so nice I’m glad it was a big portion as I wanted more! I don’t think the sausage was spicy but overall I was very impressed. Other half had a cheese chicken mushroom calzone which was also nice. We had a nice bottle of white wine which absolutely complimented the whole meal. For dessert I had sorbet and other half had a deep fried cannoli once again both really nice. Reasonable priced meal for two people, and very highly recommended. Plenty parking and we will be back soon with our family. Very authentic home cooked Italian food and Cafe Casita is way better than some of these chain restaurants!!"
