"Last weekend for the first time dropped into the Cafe for tea for him and coffee for her, and a cake which was very good. The decor and ambience pleasant and well thought out, staff wecoming and efficient. This sunny morning we decided to drive there for breakfast, having seen what was available on the menu which looked tasty. We both ordered the Full On breakfast, mine with an addition of an extra egg instead of potatoes, plus some black pudding, which was readily accepted for me.The breakfasts duly arrived as ordered, but the toast looked rather odd, a light brown bread with grains in it. My wife likes brown bread, I am a fresh crusty white myself (the bread not me) After a few minutes the waitress passed by and asked if everything was as we liked it, I asked her if they had white bread, I felt from her expression I had said a rude word, she said sorry we don't, when asked why she didn't have an answwer other than we just dont but would pass on my request to the owner, which is as much as could be expected from her.The cafe is very vegan/gluten free orientated, which is fine, if there is a demand for it, and obviously there is then give them what they prefer. However, not having white bread does smack of the ownwers, or whoever decides what to order, preferences. Usually, in cafes and restaurants, toast, when ordered, is offered in either brown or white by the waitress at the time. Here the toast is a part of the breakfast, which I feel should not prevent brown or white being offered. To presume, and it is clear that seems to be thee case, that everyone who visits the cafe, surely must follow the latest fads of what is and what is not healthy for ones consumption. In that resperct, I have been eating fresh crusty loaves, often still warm, so the real butter which I prefer, melts on contact with it, for some 84 years now, surely a testimony of some sort to my diet, which includes full cream jersey milk with my morning porrige and in my multiple cups of tea daily. I continue to be very active, medication free, my correct weight etc. so please no more presumptions, instead please provide for all of your customers, so I may enjoy my next visit more fully, and with some marmalade please."

The food here is great, home cooked style. The negatives are: it is a little crowded/packed in and, it's a negative for me but maybe not to others.......they allow dogs inside.

A lovely place to eat in a great setting. A Sri Lankan curry night on a Friday was excellent. A Thali with 3 superb curries. BYO and no corkage. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Popped in on Tuesday morning as was looking for a nice cozy cafe to have breakfast in. I Ordered the full breakfast, my husband had eggs bacon on toast whilst our litte one ordered toast, bacon, sausage beans. Service was prompt the food was delicious. Perfect amount to fill us all up for the day the toast was lush. Will happily return to this cafe when next down in the mumbles

Reserved booking for Fathers Day. Turns out the booking was necessary as the place is a little corner unit and has limited space. The food was excellent and of brilliant quality. My children ate there without any fuss. Nothing seemed to trouble the staff in anyway shape or form. The place itself is clearly a popular choice as they were turning away custom. Recommend and will be going back very soon.

Visited the kitchen table for the first time today with family for breakfast. Quite small but lovely decorated and plenty of seats. The menu is very substantial and we quickly choose our breakfasts. The waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our food was brought quickly and was perfectly cooked and piping hot. We all really enjoyed and it was clear that the ingredients were quality. Not the cheapest place but worth it. I would recommend

Having driven past this cafe numerous times my partner and myself finally stopped in for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. As a vegetarian, breakfasts tend to be pretty boring but the vegetarian breakfast in this cafe is absolutely stunning. Partner said his breakfast was lush and the first words out of his mouth after taking one bite was we have to come back and we certainly will. Staff friendly and welcoming, and a lovely touch allowing dogs onto the ground floor.

Decided to visit the kitchen table the day after having breakfast at trams just down from the kitchen table was expecting a little more up market but unfortunately it wasn't for 6.99 we expected better quality The bacon was so thin you could see through it and the toast had been in and out the toaster so quick it had barely any colour the potatoes could have been cooked for a bit longer unfortunately we left disappointed the furnishing was niceBut the breakfast wasn't would I go back no

Lovely place! Dog friendly on lower floor.Great for gluten free, dairy free, veggie and vegan options. As a GF and DF diner I had a choice of 3 desserts, this is rare, usually only one in most places and that's (boring) sorbet. They had a torte, ice cream with hot raspberries and seasonal fruit crumble! Only had the latter which was delish. Had GF beer too which went nicely with the curry. The green smoothie was delish, didn't have time to try the beetroot one sadly. Rooibos tea available. As a previous reviewer mentions this is great for a family with different requirements. I'm the healthy eater, one son loves loves burgers, one loves soups and salads and my husband a curry. Win/win. We ate...

"I have been wanting to visit here for ages but the stars have never aligned until Saturday. We were extremely lucky to get a walk in for the two of us. We were greeted by the owner and shown to a table. As we didn't have any drinks with us Peter suggested Tesco a few doors down and I was able to grab a bottle to enjoy with the meal. The service was wonderful and friendly and it felt like we had been going there for years, with just the right amount of care and advice. The food was exceptional from start to finish. We had the chicken satay and spring rolls to start and they were beautiful. The satay was amazing and was much darker in colour than any I have had before, but much better in flavour than any I have had before, I would definitely have these again. For main I had a chicken rendang and my wife ordered gule monkfish. The rendang was again perfect for my tastes. Spicy but flavourful with a generous portion that would satisfy the majority of eaters. I would have had seconds, even though I was stuffed because it was so good. I can't comment too much on the monkfish as I have a dislike of seafood, but my wife raved about it and said she's having the same again next time without question. So I think that sums it up. We finished with deserts of a rice pudding dish I think was called bubar, which was black rice and coconut, and the second dish we ordered was a Banana coconut pancake to which I forget the name. Again I couldn't find fault if I tried another 10 out of 10. At the end of the meal we met owner and chef Ami, who came to chat. It was lovely speaking to the owners and their passion for the food and customer service was clear. We cannot wait until our next visit"
