"We enjoyed a wonderful fish lunch at this charming and traditional pub. The beer battered cod was fresh and crispy, served with real chips and mushy peas. The service was excellent, with our food arriving hot and quickly. The new chef and landlord, Dale, has taken over the Kings Head and looks to be a great addition to the local area. The prices were very reasonable and there are daily meals and events at the pub. It's recommended to make a reservation, especially for the popular fish and chips and Sunday carvery. Overall, well worth a visit!"

Impromptu decision to dine we had steak which was cooked to perfection. The whole meal was so tasty including the tasty honeycomb cheesecake. The service was excellent, and the amaretto just topped everything off thank you Voir le carte

Lovely displayed meals and delicious. Waitress was really busy and still managed to interact with the customers. She had some very difficult customers there and kept her cool, regardless of the restaurant being so busy!! Well done

We had a wonderful tasty Sunday lunch here yesterday Pork and beef, 2 yorkshire puddings and lots of fresh vegetables and delicious gravy. Finished off by delicious banana and toffee cheesecake and cream and blueberry muffin and custard. Very friendly and helpful landlord and staff. We will certainly go again.

After receiving a recommendation to visit this restaurant, it turned out to be a disappointment from beginning to end. We waited almost 2 hours for our food, and when my steak finally arrived, it seemed like it had been cooking for just as long. The scampi was also overcooked. The server apologized and admitted they should not have taken our reservation due to being too busy, but no adjustments were made to our bill. We will not be coming back. Voir le carte

Had a great Sunday dinner for our family group of 24 to celebrate my dads 75th birthday. The freshly prepared plates of piping hot food was served a table at a time , each one came with beef and pork , roast pots, Yorkshire puddings , stuffing, and a separate tray of fresh veg and an individual jug of gravy. Very tasty ! Accompanied by a well kept pint of batemans xb. A choice of puddings we’re also available. Thankyou Steve and Carolyn, we all very much enjoyed our visit.

After a visit to the nearby 'We 'll Meet Again ' museum, we decided to stop at the King 's Head in Freiston for a plate of fish, chips and garden peas. The quality and quantity were excellent and the manageress very attentive to our needs for a jug of iced lemon water and tartare/tomato sauces. The fish was delicious and the chips crispy and done to our liking. We were tempted to an exquisitely home-made apple crumble and custard and we were very sorry when we had tasted the last mouthful!A superb meal served with flair and panache....
