It was very good. The food was great and the the service too. Defenitely worth a visit. We have been there for Sunday roast. And we will do it again. Thank you very much.

Had lunch with my wife and was very impressed with the quality of food. Tasty and good value. Nice location. Will be back for sure and have already recommended to friends.

light spot in beautiful village wing near rutland water. spacious, comfortable accommodation first class dining in restaurant. the staff was beautiful, we want to come back.

Best (pub) meal in a long time! Great menu, with too many delicious options to choose from. Had the game duo for main, which was the right dish to have in the run up to Christmas.

Very friendly and welcoming staff and owners. Excellent homemade food, one of the best meals we have ever had and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning for a second visit.

The beer and food were nice, although the food is quite expensive. Would recommend checking out the menu before visiting. There were plenty of available tables for dining when we visited. The pub soon filled up with locals out for an evening drink.

I had a few nights ago the smoked wild bird trio and I must say it was exquisite. the first time you try such a court and now you won't be the last. the apricose and mandeltee was an amazing finish to eat what was a very unforgettable. I can't expect to try more at my next visit. Thank you all. a great, rare eating experience.

one of the best meals I've eaten for a long time. game meat on the next level with impeccable combinations and presentation. while some of the prices were pushing it out of daily eating and possibly responsible for the relatiw quiet Friday evening we have experienced, it is completely justified for the quality. the game charcuterie platter was unequivocal and excellent worth and I would be happy back for that alone. the muntjac sattelhaupt was a spectacular and refined dish that was truly unforgettable. I will be back to try more of the menu, as my only disappointment was unable to try more of the food. possibly the best eating in rutland now.

Came for Sunday lunch to celebrate my husbands 60th. Food was good in parts but roasted veg was very under cooked and not edible. Roast potatoes were also not great. Meat was lovely. We were placed on an unsuitable table on top of reception which meant loud intrusive conversations kept happening across us which completely spoilt our meal and we found rude. And were later told even though I had booked months in advance that we weren't given our planned table as people were lingering and hadn't given up our table when they should of. So I felt the organisation wasn't strong in coping with a busy restaurant. And it spoilt our enjoyment on what for us was a special occasion.
