No point in adding a review the place has closed. And not for the first time. Shame ! Five years ago this was a great gastro pub, then the slide downhill started ...

7 of us visited for a meal and all commented on how good the food was. The atmosphere was just right and the staff were excellent very friendly and very helpful. Ignore any bad reviews, it was a great night.

We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant, the food was excellent, hot delicious and good service. They had a new beginning of the chef two days ago and obviously it's a great discovery. We will definitely come back and recommend it to all my friends and family.

We left this lovely place. The food is good could be better (neck and ham sandwich apple sauce, it was not really pork meat, fish pasta and fries not but service and drinks and decoration make it worthwhile. We waited for a drunken afternoon on the terrace here soon, we ate snacks at his decent bar.

We are staying at the kings arms on business and decided to try the food.The place is lovely, nice and clean and the staff are friendly and attentive.The food was very nice, well presented and full of flavor, with a wide selection and good fresh produce.I would recommend eating here and trying the food,a little gem in the middle of know where.We are also staying here for a week in the hotel, so we will try the menu again as the meal was faultless.

I was very impressed with the service, the food and the pleasant form of the staff. I was told that a new chef just started so I was interested in what the menu. I took my folks out to treat and loved them. I had Stilton's burger and my father had all broken fish. We enjoyed a lot. My mother had two tickets for a Main and the staff was fine with this. We will certainly come back and I hope others give the new chef a chance. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it.

10 years ago, Mr and Mrs Nicholls were the last chance for This lovely pub, they replicated sensational food and management under the onerous and greedy Greene King business model, and specifically overseen by Litton local David Elliot, Director of Greene King.Since these successful publicans left, the pub has crashed from grace with a slow and painful death.He and his cohorts should be ashamed of their ineptitude.The £495,000 freehold price guarantees future failure as a public house.

We had eaten here and it was wonderful. So I decided to take my husband here for a special birthday, 20 km by car and it was a mistake; gone is a charming atmosphere replaced by tolerance. We asked for a table at the restaurant but it discourages us using because no one else had booked. So we went out where I used napkins floating in the grass... So we went back inside to eat at a bar, we stayed only offered a bar menu, the food was grub mean pub. When we were finished, they didn't offer a desert menu. I felt very disappointing about what should have been a big night.

The refurb of this place is of a very high standard and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food lets it down. Primarily, if you don't like burgers or fish and chips, find somewhere else. I visited with a friend and although my fish and chips were good, my friends meal was first served on completely cold vegetables. On pointing this out to the waiting staff, she offered a replacement which, we expected would be a plated meal with hot food. Unfortunately it was delivered as a pile of veg and potatoes thrown together in a tin dish. Not ideal and a real disappointment. Probably would not visit again.
