"We are staying 30 mins away and saw the great reviews about this pub…….. Sadly my wife and I have to disagree we went for a Sunday roast (sharing platter). We ordered 2 cokes 10 mins later we had to remind them to bring it to us (the restaurant only had 2 tables with customers on so hardly busy…… Our food was brought out a few minutes after…… we had to ask for plates the young waitress said “they are coming” curtly……. As our food was getting colder….. As the staff walked past me if they knocked me once they knocked me a dozen times….. not sure why this was as it was hardly busy and the table behind me was empty…… the beef was slimey the potatoes felt, looked and tasted like frozen prepared potatoes the pork was dry the turkey and Yorkshire pudding was nice gravy watery……. The staff felt like they didn’t want to be there…… not even the basics of “are you having a nice meal?” On leaving we walked past 3 members of staff without a thank you or goodbye….. So luckily we won’t be returning to this place and as shiny and fresh (or care home as we called it as it looks like it inside) as it looks we would say avoid this place and go find a nice country pub….. Hope this is of help to you"

Christmas lunch with a few work colleagues food was wonderful and the Huntsman team were great ! Didn't rush us to get seated (even though we were slightly late to do so) or rush us with the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely. This was my 2nd visit and definitely not my last. Highly recommend this venue !!

Well I am a regular at The Huntsman, I love the place so am biased but Christmas time can be tricky for everyone given the demand. I have to say my work colleagues and I had a superb experience tonight in the restaurant. Food was sensational and service was terrific thank you to the team. Coming back tomorrow for lunch lucky me

from the moment you go to the moment when you leave the reception from huntsman is fantastic. the personal is very attentive, what a beautiful group of employees. when they think that there were 12 of us eating was so well presented and tastefully she could for more notask. I would like to thank them again for a nice afternoon. the menu costs were very good value for money will see that they can be back in the near future.

Six of us went for dinner this evening for our teenage daughters birthday. We had sirloin steaks, gammon, haddock and pork belly. The quality, preparation and presentation were all outstanding. The desserts were also amazing, would highly recommend the meringue. The service was welcoming and attentive, professional and nothing too much trouble. Will be going again very soon. Do not normally do reviews, but tonight was quite special.

I can honestly say this is the worst experience we have had in a very long time! Where do I start? We had booked to have lunch with friends as they had been before and had a good experience. Sadly. This was not the case today. Service was very slow, no acknowledgement when we arrived. Eventually we were shown to a table. The service was very slow which I couldn't understand as it certainly wasn't busy. The meal was mediocre,we asked for some vinegar which arrived eventually but the worst was the drinks we ordered, including a bottle of wine ,which took forever! In fact, we had half eaten our meals by the time it did arrive. No apology, then the waitress spilt the beer over my friends mobile p...

my wife and I went to the 3-course Christmas Fayre lunch and found the eating excellent, I decided for the suppe as appetizer, while the woman had cranberry tartlets with goat cheese, both beautiful and not overcrowded. the only thing I didn't like, which is a personal choice, the suppe with a mini-like piece of French brot was a kind of big cripple in the suppe, while I think that this would have been better left on the side instead of the brotes as a guide. the net was delicious, which was hot and well presented with a good selection of sweet, the truthahn and filling were particularly tasty. for dessert we went traditional choice christmas pudding with naily sauce but again well presented...

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
