The Howard Arms - Carte

Came up for a couple of days. Stayed in the beautiful Garden Room. Food was excellent and breakfast was definitely fresh produce. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

This is our 4th or 5 th visit over a period of time and it NEVER disappoints. We travelled from Solihull and our meal was wonderful. All the staff are exceptional and our lunch was faultless.

Ten of us had a lovely evening meal at the Howard Arms. The food was delicious. One of us is currently using a wheelchair, and the staff had obviously given a lot of thought as to how best to accommodate us. Special thanks to our lovely and extremely caring waitress.

I went for Sunday lunch today for the first time in a year. The food at this restaurant has always been good, but today it was truly exceptional. The beef was tender and there was a wide variety of outstanding vegetables. This was the best Sunday lunch I can recall. The service was also excellent.

This restaurant is the best for miles around. The food, staff, and atmosphere are all fantastic. The manager, Pawel, is a wonderful host and even though we live far away, we always find ourselves returning here. The restaurant is authentic and welcoming, yet still offers an exceptional standard of food. I almost hesitate to leave such a glowing review because we want to keep this hidden gem all to ourselves. We decided to have dinner at this restaurant on a chilly, rainy spring day, and it proved to be the perfect remedy for the gloomy weather. We enjoyed a pint at the bar while we waited for our table and had a great time chatting with some friendly locals. We had been craving a Sunday roast, and it exceeded our expectations! The roast was delicious, and the sides were equally tasty. The staff was very kind and we hope to come back again in the future.

Work up an appetite for a great place to eat with a walk around this superb village to work up an appetite. The Howard Arms gave our party of four a warm welcome on a sunny midweek lunchtime. Jo greeted us with great enthusiasm and gave us a very nice round table in a corner of the restaurant. A limited choice of roughly half a dozen items per course with plenty of additions if you want them. Two had excellent fish and chips while other members of the party chose different items. Save space for the puddings we found the starters and the meat options far too pricy for our pockets. The occasion was a great success thanks to the enthusiasm and helpfulness of Jo and her young team.

We stayed for three nights and could not fault it. We had the Country Room which was on the front and very bright, clean and comfortable. Staff were very accommodating and friendly, all with a good sense of humour. Shout out to Magdalena, Laura and Jo, and all the staff whose names we didn’t get. The lovely ladies who clean the rooms and to the flower lady, who, when I informed the hotel of my severe allergy to lilies, made sure than none were to be seen in the arrangements around the hotel. Breakfasts were lovely. Ordered the day before, some of it was already on the table when we arrived in the restaurant, which was nice. Teabags!! The best! None of the week stuff often left in hotel rooms... Voir le carte
