Food was poor ,warmed up unable to cut. We returned food and it came back just as tough. Staff appeared to be equally upset and could be seen arguing in the background. We will not go again.

Sunday dinner. Ordered meals and waited a while. When the meals came, they were only lukewarm. They asked if they could heat them and brought two fresh meals. They were hot and beautiful. I had a cream broiler for dessert, but serving very small for price.

The service was the worst thing I had for years. we had to get our own menu no one asked if we were all right here and at the end we had to go and our desert menu. Two hours for a main meal and a desert. If we don't leave a new and no excuse for the bad service. A woman said she asked who took care of us and nobody knew.

I absolutely love the Hartshead - it's my top choice for delicious British pub food. Despite it being a bit out of the way and often having to wait in the bar area for a table, it is definitely worth it. Once you've been, you'll constantly wish to return, especially if someone else is treating. The restaurant is very family-friendly, with reasonably priced food and drinks. It seems to be more popular for its food rather than just drinks. As I've never been on a nice day to enjoy the views outside, I can only imagine how stunning they must be. Make sure to order something hearty with plenty of gravy, or you'll be eyeing everyone else's plates. I recommend calling ahead on Sundays as it tends...
