"I went in a family group on a Saturday lunchtime. There were of us in all and we just wanted a quick meal and to catch up. Yes, as others have said it's easy to miss the turn for the car park but once...in there are plenty of spaces. We were quickly shown to our table and the waitress asked for drinks orders There is an excellent choice of ales, ciders, larger and wines although alcohol free beers are limited.... Looking through the menu there is an excellent range of foods. Some of us had starters which quickly arrived. Unfortunately the waitress (who was obviously new and being trained) missed one of the starters off her list to the kitchen which was only noticed when the other starters arrived. She was very apologetic and it was quickly resolved with a huge wheel of camembert arrived with loads of bread.... The mains were all hot, hearty and very well cooked. We had a range of traditional fish and chips, beef and ale pies, the vegan burger and a haloumi burger and others I can't remember which we all enjoyed Total bill was around for all. Great value we thought. We will certainly be going back. Well done everyone"

We had to eat outside under current restrictions for those from Tier meeting with households. No problem. Plenty of tables and under cover. Window ordering service. We had roast Sunday lunch. Plenty of food, great roast, lots of veg, trimmings and quite a...choice. Very good value. Served with a smile. Great selection of ales. Did not have to wait too long despite being full inside. Great little spot combined with a mile walk. Nice village.

Second time we've been in two years and again was not disappointed. From food to service this place is excellent. There was four of us this Saturday lunchtime and we shared two starters, each had a main course, three puddings, three coffees and two rounds...of drinks. The Bill came to a touch over and was worth every penny. I was going to post a photo of my steak and ale pie but it was too good! The service was spot on. Will definitely be back again soon

I had an excellent meal here with my parents. large selection of traditional and more modern options on the menu. I went for the local brixworth pate, and we also had baked mushrooms and the cheese quattro for starter. all were generous portions, hot and fast...served for the net we had sampi, of which it served plentiful, chicken chorizo and mined lamb cake, all with chips and veg. we have enjoyed everything we had. the only part was that we were so full that none of us had room for dessert! I would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to the visit again.

My fiancé and I came here today for the first time, and I was very impressed. As a vegetarian, it’s really hard to find a good, veggie Sunday lunch, and the nut roast offered by The Hare was by far and away the best I’ve...tried. The sides were delicious, and I even had my own little veggie gravy boat. I was very happy with my lunch and we will definitely be coming back. To any other vegetarians looking for a good Sunday lunch, look no further (not sure how they would cater for vegans)! And for the meat-eaters, my fiancé had the fish cakes to start and the roast chicken Sunday lunch, and his plates were clean at the end of the meal. The staff were lovely and we sat outside in the very cute g...

You could easily pass this Village Pub without noticing it. Set back off Loddington's deceptively named Main Street', The Hare is worth taking the effort to find it. It is Stone Built, with a spacious interior and Beer Garden. There is a full Bar service...including well kept Hand-Pumped real ales, Wines, Spirits and Soft Beverages. The food offered includes a good selection of dishes, from a variety of cuisines, which might be described as upmarket Pub-Grub. Starters, Mains and Dessert Menus are all provided. Being Restriction compliant all orders were taken at and delivered to the table. Service was prompt and efficient. Prices were reasonable for the quality and locality. If you visit thi...

I made it for a family dinner. great place to eat. the staff was friendly and helpful. especially the heart that served us was so beautiful. very impressed by the gluten-free selection and the clear signs on the menu, from the...gf for a village pub there was a lot of gf options even dessert. can recommend the gf apple cake thoroughly! the bill came simply for us that was just a little more than we pay in the rule, but it is worth for the quality and quantity of food. we all had appetizers, anyway, desserts, drinks, coffee and Irish coffee, so was still quite reasonable. we would definitely go back. by catching up with family births we have eaten several times in the last month or so and aft...

"Richard and I, en route from Cambridge to Shropshire, chanced upon this splendid cafe in Kettering, easily accessible from the A14. The cafe occupies a cosy space with a breakfast bar by the window, offering a lovely view of the local red-brick architecture, and a fine place from which to watch the colourful characters of Kettering passing by. Unlike some cafes, there was no 'greasy spoon ' smell, which was a boon. Instead a delightful and appetite-arousing aroma of freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Richard opted for the small breakfast, and had no trouble in swapping out his eggs and tomato for black pudding and mushrooms at no extra cost. I ordered the much-vaunted breakfast baguette. The food was cooked freshly and served quickly. Richard was impressed by the appearance of his plate, and more so by the delicious food which he consumed with gusto. Richard said the bacon was well cooked, the mushrooms were good, not too greasy, generally everything was well cooked, the only thing that could have been better was the sausage, which was fine but obviously a 'standard quality ' sausage . My breakfast baguette was fantastic, the crispy bread was marvellous and the generous filling was hot and tasty, and not at all greasy. All this, plus two steaming cups of flavoursome tea for the bargain price of £9.90. We both took the opportunity to use the facilities and we 're impressed with their cleanliness and the provision of Radox soap. On the whole a great find. We will certainly drop in again if we pass by on another adventure."
