"We called in for lunch at 12.10pm but could not gain access. The sandwich boards etc. were outside advertising lunch was available but all the doors were locked and we could not get in so we returned to our car and phoned them only to be greeted by a message saying no-one was available. I understand that in the best run of businesses emergencies warranting closure can occur but even a hastily written note pinned to the door to let the clientele know would have been better than nothing. We waited for a while in the car park and phoned again but on getting the same response we moved on to lunch elsewhere."

Popped in on our way through whilst travelling and had a meal. We were impressed with the food, service and general decor within this establishment. The food portions were decent and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

We visited this pub some years ago and returned this December for lunch. We were able to take our dog which was a bonus. The menu is extensive including a board with a variety of ‘specials’. The quality of the food is excellent and very well presented.

I have visited this restaurant several times over the years and have always been impressed by the food. There are plenty of specials to choose from, providing a variety of options. The burger I had was the best I've had in years! I am looking forward to coming back again.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. It is incredibly delicious and skillfully prepared. The service is also top-notch. We have dined here numerous times, both as a couple, with family, and with friends, and every time we have been thoroughly impressed with the food.

Read reviews and off to pub but closed for refurbishment. It is located in a very attractive and quiet village in the heart of the Cotswolds. Nothing else in village except stone houses and a village community hall and a Church. Did not see any shops so not any tourists which gives the village a very authentic Cotswold character.

We stopped in for a coffee on the weekend in the late morning. The car park only had 3 cars, so it was not busy. The lady working there told us they would be busy with residents soon, but we didn't see any residents. The coffee was okay, but the place was deserted, as seen in recent photos on TripAdvisor. I would not recommend this place.

The lady serving us was friendly and polite, the eating atmosphere was very nice and decor was very nice feeling very traditional with exposed brickwork, low ceiling and a proper fireplace (with fire lit). Our starters were not very good, the scallops not particularly flavoursome and the grilled beef looking and tasting burnt. Thankfully, the mains were better (roast chicken stuffed with bacon and spinach) but nothing spectacular and not great value for money. Probably would go again but there are better options around in the area.

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
