Once again EXCELLENT meals, only downside was no cheese and biscuits, but the Roulade was EXCELLENT, so it wasn't a problem

beautiful old pub in historical harwich great eating and good choice of ales and other drinks offer friendly staff always helpful. also dog friendly locals as well as visitors.

really superb pub with a great selection of behave, but we came especially for the famous frying dinner and were not disappointed. absolutely perfect meal and incredibly good value. highly recommended

Been going out with the family on New Years day for a long time now. Tried the Hanover tthis year and was spot on. Food, service, comfort, real fire, atmosphere and very importantly) great beer. Happy with the price and food portions.

the menu is large and varied the choice of 4 desserts has been particularly appreciated! the beetroot and edamame burger in the Beetroot wrap was delicious as the cherry chocolate cheesecake with coconut ice cream. they will definitely have an effort to make in the menu attraktiw instead of just throw out any old thing to satisfy the vegan! many interesting beer on tap and in bottle.

Amazing food, we had steak which came on plates with the steak on a bed of onions sizzling away and a burger which was stacked with mushrooms and onion rings. We couldn’t fit in a pudding although would have had one if I could!...Really friendly service, dog friendly too which we needed and fires burning keeping the place lovely and warm on a January evening. Really couldn’t knock it at all. Had read the reviews before going which were very good but it still surprised us. Would highly recommend

Absolutely beautiful, all veg tasted freshly cooked so sprouts, cabbage, carrots, were just right; Turkey moist, succulent, roast potatoes great quality, Yorkshires wonderful. Gravy homemade, pigs In blankets great . We had course main and dessert pear in sauce and bread pudding, Christmas pudding...both excellent. Friend had cheese board enough for people with biggest selection of cheeses I have seen for a long time. All in all this represents best value for money xmas meal in the area. Thoroughly recommend it. Donna is the cook, David is the governor, a winning team.
