"After waiting until the last minute to book a restaurant in Chester, I decided to try The Handbridge, as it was just a short walk from the city center. Upon entering, I found the place to be quite calm, but I must say that both the food and service were excellent. It's a pity there wasn't a livelier atmosphere. I imagine that on a busier night outside of January, the place would have a lot more energy, given the quality of the food."

Excellent service and food. We now class the Handbridge as our local. We have never had a bad experience. The staff are all so friendly and make the place a great place to go to.

we visited a week night and it was extremely quiet, although this did not take away from the experience, a few items were not available on the menu, but do not distract this from a pleasant evening. sam (manager) was a very pleasant host and was attentive with and Voir le carte

We recently visited The Handbridge for the first time in a long while, and we were not disappointed. Even though it was quite quiet that evening, we enjoyed a fantastic meal, and the service was outstanding. We're looking forward to returning with family on the 10th!

The service was disappointing. It took 30 minutes for someone to take our order, and then another 45 minutes for our food to arrive, which was also incorrect. We were the only diners, so it wasn’t a busy time. The menu, which was available online, didn’t cater well to vegetarians. The food also lacked seasoning and needed salt to be more palatable. I would not recommend this restaurant.
