The Hampden Arms - Carte

Pleasant pub with excellent value for money tasty food which was served promptly by friendly waitress complimentary drink with selected mid week menu added bonus.

I found the food to be very affordable, well-prepared, and generous in portion size. The staff were accommodating and I will definitely be returning in the future.

Arrived and had an all day breakfast, it was dripping in fat! Literally felt like my sausages was swimming in it. Only left 3 because stay were great and service was good Voir le carte

Service was fab food was delicious hot and we didn’t have to wait too long considering it was busy only criticism was there was too much on the plate and unfortunately couldn’t finish it. Plenty of choice on the menu and staff were very friendly.

The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was delightful. There was a nice variety of dishes to choose from. The staff was very friendly and even helped accommodate us when our baby needed feeding. They quickly arranged for a second meal when our first dinner went cold from being left too long while tending to the baby.

Having had an energetic afternoon swimming at Plas Madoc, my family were all ready for a meal. Four adults and four children (aged 10 to 1) descended on the Hampden Arms minutes away from the pool. We were given a warm welcome. The food was all freshly prepared, good service and very reasonably priced. A great ending to a great day. Voir le carte

This restaurant is very welcoming and kid-friendly, with high chair facilities available. They offer a variety of food options, including specials and a gluten-free menu, which is a great bonus. The staff are helpful and friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The layout of the restaurant allows for plenty of space between tables, so it doesn't feel cramped. It is recommended to book in advance, as they also accept walk-ins.

Today we ordered a veggie meal for my daughter and they served her pork. Myself and my other daughter had the steak, which tasted slightly off. The management and chef offered a half hearted apology, but the best they could offer was a half refund. The only saving grace was the poor lady behind the bar who was very apologetic and trying to mediate between my rightfully irate wife and the less than helpful manageress. We will not be returning.

We called here for a lunch out of the blue. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. It took ages to be served at the bar for drinks although it wasn't that busy, the food took around an hour to come and some of it was wrong, we overheard one member of staff speaking rather unprofessionally to another table as they were adamant they had not made a mistake but judging by our meal being slightly wrong they probably had. Two of the meals didn't come with what they were supposed to via the menu. Two puddings came out but mine didn't for another 10-15mins or so by which point the other two had finished theirs as it was going cold. Overall we were quite disappointed and I'm not sure we will retur... Voir le carte
